much better than chris pine, and afflec.

Honestly, of all the people you could give a Benghazi movie to, who the **** decides that Michael Bay has the delicate touch needed for that material? Whoever it was needs their head examined.

The Sum of All Fears was such a good book and they butchered the F out of it for the movie.

I've never understood why some people mess with a story when the source material was so good. Doesn't make sense to me. Sure the book was very long, but surely you could get a 2.5 hour out of it and be true to the source.

I really liked The Hunt and Patrior Games. Clear and Present Danger was fine, but I felt like the Ryan from that the the one from Patriot Games were different Ryan's, Evan though both were Ford. Clean and Present Danger one just seemed less sure of himself and almost bumbling in some places. Still enjoyed it, though.

I liked his Jack Ryan movies. I also liked Hunt for Red October. Other than that....meh.
I haven't even watched the most recent one all the way through, but of the others I enjoyed them all in their way. Red October is my favorite, but as much because it distills aspects of the Cold War so well as anything else. It's also the highest quality film overall in my view. Though casting Connery as a Russian is a bit much. But I also really liked Patriot Games as a suspenseful revenge/action thriller movie.

Even though Ryan was in the marines, I never really envisioned him as exceptionally fit and athletic. Especially not later in the series. Another casting choice that bothered me was Dafoe as Clark in Clear and Present Danger. Don't get me wrong, Dafoe is great, but he was nowhere near Clark.

On that note, I always thought Without Remorse would make a great movie.

Reading the books I always pictured Baldwin as Ryan as I visualised the characters. I agree about Dafoe, and would also add Schreiber as wrong for the role. I always pictured the Sam Fisher character and Micheal Ironside voice from the Splinter Cell games in the role of Clark.. and Without Remorse would make a great movie because it is such a separate story in it's own right from the Ryan-verse, even with the links and cameos. It would have made a fantastic 1980s action-drama movie.

I like Krasiznski actually and think he's a good actor, but never really pictured him in an action role. Idk why they didn't just stick with Chris Pine, I thought he was great as Jack Ryan.

Michael Bay was the one lol the deal was he'll do the next transformers movie if the studio producer this film, same for pain and gain.
