Why are there no 1/6th NFL or MLB figures?

Going to disagree with you there b/c hockey is monstrous in Sweden and Russia my man.

You're spot on about the NFL though.

Monstrous I'm sure, I just think the venn diagram 'A+B', where sports fan meets expensive doll customer, is too small to make high-end figures viable. India has a billion people in it that worship Sachin Tendulkar, but maybe twelve of those would be inclined to buy a $200 doll of him. Music is huge too, but we've only got a high end 1/6 doll of Elvis and Michael Jackson and not much else. But who knows? Variety is always good. I hope you guys get a Babe Gretsky figure or few.

Nobody outside of North America cares enough about hockey to buy expensive dolls of the players.

Nobody outside of North America cares at all about the NFL.

Hardly anybody inside of North America who cares about either hockey or the NFL cares enough to buy expensive dolls of the players.

I know of the NBA figures, but the NFL and MLB are more popular than NBA. How did NBA get 1/6th figures before the other two?

Has any company tried to do NFL or MLB figures?

Just imagine the classic players like Brady, Manning, Montana, Rice, Elway, Namath..... Ruth, Gehrig, Mantle, DiMaggio, Berra, Jackson, Jeter

Could we be getting a line like this one day?

Starting Lineup released about 20 in the early 90's MLB stars at the time and a few hall of fame players.

I have the Bobby Orr from that line. Another company made 12" hockey figures and I had the Ray Bourque from that line. If some company wants to make a quality 1/6 Tom Brady I'd gladly hand my money over.
