Actually I was never banned. I just got my membership last October. Didn't use the Forums for much until my sale came along and my shelf started overflowing... Eh, gotta do what you gotta do.

Yeah. Funny I know, right?

Anyway, I was thinking about CelticP's Celtic Pred by McF. To me, the quality of something like that should be judged by what it looks like in-packaging, before it gets the chance to wrestle with Star Wars characters (although that seemed like a pretty one-way fight to me :) ).

It's still not HT, but doesn't this look a lot better than CelticP's post?

I had these figures. They reside at the bottom of my kids' toy box now. They were good for when they were released. I guess I appreciate their value to some as collectibles but pieces like Hot Toys and other high end companies are more like art work.
I don't say this to put anyone down but the Mcfarlane and NECA pieces remind me of something you'd display in a college dorm whereas the high end collectibles would warrant a spot in a home theater or even a dedicated room to themselves. Just my opinion, though.

Even these opened ones, if taken care of, can look pretty badass...

Waiting for the inevitable "For just $24 shipped you too can be the proud owner of..." spamming plug about your FS thread.:lol

And no doubt. It looks great for a $10 toy.

Was that really necessary? I'm no longer going on your thread, dude. You can drop it.
What? We can't talk about our favorite brands of toys without hearing the turd speech?

Oh, here's an eBay auction link. Think you'll find it interesting: https://cgi.ebay.com/Celtic-Predato...emQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_0?hash=item414e0473b1
You can disrespect the seller as much as you want, but these IMHO are cool toys. If you take care of 'em, they look great next to all the other NECA AVP stuff. Did I mention the bid is at $48 now?

One more thing: Preeny101 makes an excellent point. He said his opinion and left it at that. Maybe you should try it.

No he's right, it does look fantastic for a 10 dollar toy. It's perhaps my favorite figure because of what it did for me. That figure alone is what got me into this collecting stuff. Once I saw CP...I was just...wow.

TMP not making Chopper, or Gil, as I remember him being called, was the biggest disappointment in toy collecting for me up to that time:lol

They did make the little diorama of him getting owned by the Alien tail.

A full figure of him would have been nice even though he didn't survive very long. Celtic didn't last very long either for that matter.

yeah, great consolation:rolleyes: Although I do still have one hanging on my office shelf:lol

I wasn't very happy when McF did the pre-posed diorama thing with the Alien vs. Predator line. I thought they could've made an unmasked Scar (They had a sculpt and it looked better than the actual film design did in my opinion) and a Chopper for series 2. I did think the one with Chopper getting stabbed was the best out of the diorama series, though. It was the only one I bought.
