Yeah I don't get it either. Its just something else you have to type and its not really necessary is it.

but this is something I've always wondered too, and it happens on other forums as well,
some of the members will write their names a the bottom,
but lik you said, their names are next to their post, (and like my sig) in their signatures as well, so it is funny
