I just bought the Sideshow Predator Maquette Exclusive and decided not to buy the Cinemaquette and there are many reasons why I prefer the Sideshow version.

- The most obvious reason is the fact that you can display him with his mask on, I've always prefered the masked look and the fact that you can choose is just awesome.

- I like the base a lot more then the Cinemaquette version with the plastic plants (at least they look like plastic ...

- It will fitt perfectly with the upcoming Predator maquette(s) in the same scale. I can only hope the next maquette will be P2.

- It will fitt perfectly next to the upcoming Aliens Warrior Maquette.

These last two reasons where my main reasons to buy the Sideshow version, because he will even look more awesome next to a P2 or Alien Warrior in the same scale !

Unless Cinemaquette decides to also release a Aliens Warrior or more Preds ...
But then I'll always have the interchangeable head.

What do you guys think ?

Reall? Mask on? I love the intricacy of the predator's face, really appreciated the designs Winston did that I'd have to go with the cinemaquette.

Are you saying Winston had anything to do with the Cinemaquette? Maybe it's the way it's worded or you meant you'd go with Sideshow, but Steve Wang did the CM, and Winston studios did the SS. The Sideshow one is way more accurate.

That might very well be the case ,,, but next to the cinemaquette the SS one fades ,,, the CM just command so much precense that the SS just goes un noticed.
I would also love a masked option but there really are no comparison IMHO .

Kind regards

i like the sideshow maquette better too now mainly because of the face but there is already a thread on this. anyway, there is no confirmation of aliens warrior maquette or any other future ones as far as I know, so dont hold your breath just yet.

...SS over the CM pred??...you must be on drugs sir. Nothing on the market comes close to the amount of detail, time and attention that went into making the CM pred. I also dont agree with you in regards to the CM base....its the nicest base I've ever seen. Plus the pose of the CM pred is just so much cooler.

I had the 2100 in hand for the CM +shipping, I changed my mind when I realized I could set up an entire display of something else for that much. I got Morgul Lord, Cave Troll, and Balrog LSB's. Aragorn EX, Frodo, Lurtz, and Moria Orc Pf's. And a glass shelved display case with glass doors for less than the CM and I got it all put together within a month

It was like one hell of a X-Mas, in the summer!

Good work Trustey!

SS pred for me,i just prefer the scale and of course the helmet option,i dont like the preds with mandibles open (yawn),so the helmet wins the day for me :)

Now that is one awesome haul...congrats :duff

id rather have the ss over cina any day. for some reason i think of the movie PREDATOR more when i see the SS. and the amount of money the cinamquette is priced at is absurd $2k++ i could think of a million other things id rather do with 2 thousand dollars, 1 including the SS maquette.

I can understand why some people prefer the Sideshow's over the cinemaquette as it displays with other pieces that are roughly the same size well as opposed to the cinemaquette that towers over the competition. Here is a picture I found of the Predator maquette with the Cinemaquette TX and T800. Not my picture though but looks awesome:
