The original Com is still by far my favorite IM statue. I bought the SIM and had it repainted red and gold. Even had all the lenses removed and recasted in a clear resin, then had the resin stained into an amber/yellowish color. It looks great. The best part about it is I don't have the gold forearms that everyone else has on their Coms. It drove me nuts that SSC painted his forearms gold instead of red.

It is one of my favorite statues and would be one of the very last pieces I would ever part with.

This used to be a very rare piece that goes for ~$700 but within the last 2 weeks i seen it getting dumped all over ebay and the for sale section for ~$400ish. Is there some kind of rumor/announcement a new ironman comiq is coming? Tempted to pick one up at this price, this is still the best comic ironman imo. Thoughts?

recasts aside, this will happen to almost every statue over time. it is the nature of the game.

The IM2 maquette is the best version out there (especially if you can get a good "chin" paint).

For all the newbies or new collectors out there, I would stay clear of the IM Comiquette.

1:4 scale. The name is underneath the banner. Its the maquette released over 1 1/2 year ago. It's going for over $750+.
