Why isn't there more of an outrage that HT hasn't made Predator 1 yet?

I will get the human Predator cast members like Duth and Billy. But I'd LOVE to have the Predator myself too! I don't have any of Hot Toys predators, but they all look great! I still want to get the "battle-damaged" Predator from Predator 2 someday. I've been a big fan of the ALIEN and Predator movies most of my life. I tend to favor or like the Predators more with all of their cool weapons and gear, and outfits.

I am in an expensive hobby, and on a limited budget. Like most of us...especially now...we have to pick and choose what we can get. Even if there is MUCH more out there we really want, but just can't afford.

So, maybe someday, if things get better for me financially, I can go back and get the BD Predator 2, and the first predator if Hot Toys finally makes him.

There hasn't been a Predator 1 yet because like any business decison its all about the $$$.

Well Predator will probably end up being quite a large line. If they can do the whole team plus the pred thats like 6 different figures, plus Dutch and Pred variants. Maybe even a armless Carl Weathers armless con variant Plus we want HT to cross the Ts and dot the Is so we can get accurate likenesses and such dont we?

Honesty I think that Predator and Alien fans are just so appreciative to get attention in 1/6 that they'll take what they can and not upset the apple cart just because of timing. Not all fans are as ^^^^^y as SW ones

I think the reason behind the success of these Alien/Pred franchises was the lack of CGI and special effects which gave the creatures more realistic screen time and not to mention the AWESOME directors.

But back on to the toy, they are probably taking their time and building up the hype over this line

I was just curious why I hadn't read that much about it. Obviously the Predator line is the most successful that HT has done. People are buying characters that appeared for 15 seconds in the least favorite of the films. So would have thought that clamoring for P1 would be as loud as LotR fans whining about not getting the whole fellowship.

I think the difference is faith. Everyone knows the Preds are killer sales for HT and it's just a matter of time before the pred 1 is released. LOTR was a dog for SS and the writing was on the wall quite a while back. People knew they weren't going to get their Fellowship and were pissed.

I think that though growing HT is still a relatively small company, they seem to revisit lines when they can, but they've been so busy with TDK it's probably on the back boiler. That said, they've given us Machiko and the 'borg' pred is due soon... so what do I know. I'll chase it up again tomorrow!

i think there are at least 7 more p2 lost preds they could make.
but, the one they did make came with accessories from the other ones.
which tells me they don't plan on making any more and all we get is one inclusive lost pred with interchangeable parts.

My thoughts exactly I know the P1 will be produced eventually, and I don't mind the delay with all the other cool stuff coming out right now. I wouled just like HT to take their time and deliver another one on par with the P2 Elder.

Probably because there's nothing to be expected. Think about it, in the movie he only uses wrist blades and the plasma cannon, so he'll be pretty light on the accessories.

Moreover, they've released his armour on the P2 elder, so another "surprise" is toned down.

Lastly, his head design in the movie is nothing to write home about after Wolf's and the mask is pretty lean and non-complicated.

And it'll probably use the "old" Predator body and not the one Wolf uses.

After thinking about these for a second...why are you outraging about HT not having made one yet?

Because he is THE original one. No other reason needed other than that. Wolf & Pred 2 are definitely the best (IMO), but there's no way to have a complete Predator collection without the first one.
