Why no John Hurt likeness for Hot Toys Kane from Alien?

They could have at least given us a likeness of a well known porn star. Ummm, before the bloat set in.

At the end of the day when buyers cancel their pre-orders, it is the Distributors and Retailers who get "stuck" with the products. Hot Toys couldn't care less. They will only produce the quantity that their worldwide Distributors and Retailers ordered from them and these poor businesses placed their orders with Hot Toys using our pre-orders as a gauge! And when the figures start shipping and pictures of the actual products start appearing in Forum Boards, Hot Toys would already have collected their money from the Distributors and Retailers and moved on to start working on their next product.

With this in mind, I am keeping all my previous pre-orders but I will be more cautious when I decide whether to place new pre-orders for new Hot Toys products in future.

I do feel sorry for the retailers. And I feel sorry for the sculptors who don't get to show their great work. It's a frustrating situation, but it's like going to a good restaurant, I pay my money and I want good food. If it isn't what's pictured on the menu, I complain.

Likewise I will be cautious in future what I preorder.

Just thinking.....Hot toys MUST have produced a sculpt of Hurt. Wouldn't it be funny if somehow casts of that got leaked on to the market, un-officially of course?! (HINT, HINT). Of course it would be done by someone 'nefarious', without the knowledge of the sculptor or the company concerned!!

what upset me most is they should have notified everyone beforehand. just a nice friendly email that says 'we just updated the final product photos and here it is.' i'd hate to go home and found out the hard way by opening up the box and going wth then going online and seeing there were already threads from multiple other collectors about it

Freddie Mercury was in Alien!?

I'm surprised nobody is talking about the space suit boots being all wrong for Dallas & Kane. Am I the only one who noticed it?.. In a few days, (at the start of October '08) do a search for the key words 'Moebius boots' and you will see what I have to say (and show) about the boots issue. All you collectors (including myself) who have or will have the Dallas and/or Kane figures are getting stuck with the wrong boots! I'll prove my case very soon, with clear photos and, after I sculpt and produce molds for the correct boots, I will initiate a brilliant marketing ploy- er, um... I mean, they will be available to other collectors. *COMING SOON*
