Is the Imperial who is walking into the war room Tarkin...? Looks too young but he does have the ears. Maybe this scene happened years ago and its younger Tarkin? Early Jyn's Dad years.

Yep could certainly be a flashback to show Erso's early years and having a young Tarkin would make sense. I didn't catch that the first time watching.

I can't imagine they'd give a dramatic shot like that to a random Imperial. It must be young Tarkin. Which is exciting.

Weren't they making a big deal about the amount of CG they had to do to make a believable young Tarkin? Might end up being impressive.

There was a lot of press going around that the most expensive CGI single-shot in history was rendering Peter Cushing as Tarkin for Rogue One.

They should have just dropped Charles Dance in.

To be fair, people keep saying this "Star Wars fans would buy it, but.." as if non Star Wars fans are buying any of this stuff. I really don't think there are many "casual" fans that are dropping 2 to 3 hundred dollars on these figures. If you're spending that much on one of these things you definitely know who Tarkin is and would buy a figure. This isn't against you personally, I've just heard this argument many times in the forums and I don't really get it.

Jordu Schell's Tarkin bust is simply amazing! But the price was about $12000 IIRC.

So are we expecting a Rogue One Tarkin rather than a A New Hope Tarkin? I'd say it would be more or less the same figure just with the not so nice Rogue One stand / base.

That's what we're all hoping. Theoretically, Tarkin should look the same... and they apparently spent enough money to make it so.

But with all the "retooling" that has gone on with Vader, Troopers, etc, I expect Rogue One Moff Tarkin to be a blonde black man with a speech impediment now.
