In R1 Tarkin only had a blue and red rank badge for the first half of the film. He didn't get his yellow squares until after he "took over" the Death Star project from Krennic. Hopefully if HT decides to make him they either offer interchangable rank badges or go with his Grand Moff configuration so that he can be used as either a R1 or ANH version.

Thats an error or they are retconning for this, because he got his yellow insignias before this.

The premium format was made way after he passed, so I don't think it'll be an issue this time? As Disney were allowed to reproduce his features on screen, so high chance they'll make one.

Yeah, I don't follow them to begin with but I always see people reposting their stuff and nothing ever being announced. Maybe sometimes it happens, but most of the times, I don't really see much validity in their "teasers".

I'd love to see a Hot Toys Tarkin figure. While I'm not impressed with what they did with their "Alec", "Hamill" and "Ford", I'm sure Cushing is distintive enough that they couldn't mess him up. I'm thinking he'd turn out great with his distinct features, like their Ben Kingsley Mandarin or Alfred Michael Caine.

Here's hoping he happens. I can see it now. Chin stroking hand and all. No better time than now.
