When I opened this thread just now I came to the realization it’s easier to list figures I wouldn’t buy from Rogue One because it’s such a smaller list.

Why no hate from Hot Toys for Rogue One Bor Gullet?

I’ll join that thread, get it going! If they had made that creature the size of a cat instead of giant slug cow, less people would’ve complained, and it would sell toys.

I don’t know what the obsession is with having so many tentacle beasts in movies these days. TFA had one, Rogue One had one, Solo had one and surprisingly of all films TLJ didn’t haha

That’s what I’ve been saying! The creature design department for Star Wars needs to step their game up- too many tentacled creatures. It’s getting old lol.

It’s not just Star Wars, they seem to be creeping into several movies over the last few years. What goes through the heads of these people in meetings where they decide “yep, what this movie really needs is a tentacle beast to sell it”? Personally I think there’s something a bit too hentai about them. Someone at Lucasfilm has a serious fetish haha

Yeah there definitely doesn’t seem to be someone in the art department taking a step back and looking at the overview of the creatures. If they did that, they’d perhaps pick up on the excessive use of it. I’m glad I’m not alone in thinking tentacled creatures are overused recently lol.

Oh, TLJ had a monster all right.:lol

I actually like the design of Bor Gullet, tentacled creatures are still cool. I remember reading the earliest reviews for Rogue One and there was a guy that said that the Bor Gullet mind-probing Bodhi Rook scene was way out of place. While I watched the film at the theater for the first time I was trying to find a scene like that and couldn't. I just don't find anything wrong with that scene.

True I was the same. Why wouldn't a creature with strange characteristics like mind reading smother a whole person sucking it out of them.

I couldn’t disagree more with regards to the Airborne Trooper. Any Clone Troopers would be huge sellers. They’re the sort of figures that scalpers will have up on eBay for twice the price within a year of release.

With regards to whether they’d put it up at SDCC, it wouldn’t be a huge shock if they release this before and then put something like the regular 212th Attack Battalion up as the exclusive.

If you're after airborne troopers maybe they'll make these guys (and gal) from Fallen Order. Pretty badass really. Wouldn't be many people calling these guys Beehive troopers to their face. :lol

High chance actually. They made a few SW Battlefront figures.

They look like very impressive designs tbf. What era is that game set in btw? Those troopers seem like a no-brainer considering they’ve already made the helmets. Not sure about getting game figures, but the Shock Trooper and Shadow Trooper have tempted me in the past.

Another Friday with no release *sighs*. At what point does the SDCC thread open on here?

How would you have ensured he was telling the truth and not a spy of the empire ? Torture perhaps ?

Not sure the story needed him to be tested. The information he bought and the way he was delivered didn’t seem to need trust

The game era is a few years post Order 66. You play an escaped young Jedi with partial training. These guys are after you pretty much.

Check out the trailer Star Wars Fallen Order. Looks pretty impressive and it is a pure single player story game. There is also first gameplay being shown this weekend at E3. Hopefully should be epic.

I've started SDCC threads in the past and there is a bit of talk, but what invariably happens is if there is a new figure shown someone starts a thread specific to that and all the talk goes there. So give it a go. I like to have a chat about what SDCC could offer.

Yes I guess so. But on the other hand Saw is an extremist and trusts no one.

In any case it is what it is. Like it or not, it's not terribly critical to the story. Movie is still my favourite of all Star Wars actually.

I think you need to consider how much is on stake if they react on what they are told. The rebellion is very small and every move could wipe the whole thing out. Especially if you react to something like rumors of a Death Star. And maybe they have imperial spies coming round ever so often claiming things to get the rebellion into a trap? Why wouldn’t they? ...don’t see how they would just choose to trust this random guy [emoji2368]
Maybe the tentacle monster wasn’t needed, but trusting every random guy coming by claiming someone made a planet killer wouldn’t be acceptable either.
