Super Freak
You mean Johnny Storm. Johnny Blaze is the first of the modern —not Western— Ghost Riders.
I wouldn't mind a Ghost Rider, Reed Richards, Sue Storm, Johnny Storm PFs.

While the look and personality of the Surfer was bang on his story sucked. As for Marvel Studios doing everything better, well, they have found a way to start building an actual universe of movies instead of stand alones. It would be better to have everything under their umbrella so as to facilitate that type of world building.

Fox has built a universe of movies with the X-Men and Wolverine films
Sony had built a universe of movie with Spider-Man before SM3 ruined it.
When Marvel Studios start introducing non-avenger related characters into their films (Daredevil, Iron Fist, Punisher and so on) they'll have a universe of characters, right now they have a universe of one single team films, same as Fox with X-Men
Marvel has more momentum then the rest though. Xmen is the only other currently successful universe, and they are rebooting it to keep it that way. Marvel is building while Fox and Sony have already torn the house down once in a 10 year period. You can't argue that any other company has done a better job building a universe then Marvel because the have all built them and then had to start over because they didn't want to spend the money.
X-Men aren't being rebooted at all. The Wolverine is taking place immediately after X3 and Days of Future Past will follow that (and make use of both the First Class and present day Professor X and Magneto).
