Can someone from Sideshow PLEASE EXPLAIN WHY THE RIGHT ARM POSITION ON THE PREDATOR 2 DIO IS DIFFERENT THAN EVERY OTHER PICTURE WE'VE SEEN?

I pre-ordered this based on the pics THAT YOU PROVIDED. Now, I know that paint apps will always be different.
But, I sure DO NOT expect to see a repositioned statue when I open the box AFTER you've already taken my money.

What gives?!?!

Notice that the right arm position has changed from a "palm down" postion to a "palm out" position. This totally changes the feel of the statue and is NOT what I pre-ordered.

Wow that is pretty bad actually! Especially now coz you can't see his gauntlet thingy from front on!

Is there a joint/seam at the forearm where it might have been attached to the body in the wrong position at the factory?

I would lean towards another factory screw up.

I don't know.

If that's the case...then why no quality control on this before it's shipped?

What, is this your first Sideshow purchase?? :lol

No...definately not my first.

I'm used to paint apps being different. THAT I can understand.

But to find out a statue has been repositioned AFTER IT'S BEEN PAID FOR AND SHIPPED is a new on me from Sideshow.

It really changes the whole look of the statue. I hope mine doesn't come like that.

It's magnetized, right? Could it just be spun at the part where it connects to the upper arm?

:wave *waves back at Predator*

I don't think this is an intentional change, as the box-art shows the other position. Box art is supposed to show the final product (besides some paint variation). Looks more like they attached it the wrong way.

Well, I sent a question off to the official "Ask Sideshow" folks in regards to the OBVIOUS change in the arm position.

This is they're response:

"Hello Chris,

Please be advised that our 'Ask Sideshow' form is not a way to get in touch with our Customer Service department. If you are unhappy with any of our products, you can contact [email protected] directly, and they will set you up with a full refund of the item's price.

Best Regards,
SideshowCollectibles.com"

Now, since I wasn't asking for a refund...only enquiring about why the sculpt itself was changed...this response is absolutely pointless.
It tells me that Sideshow IS NOT concerned with the product that a customer receives...unless it is a situation that would require refunding money.

Very sad...very very sad.

With that said...I'm still keeping it.
I've bought all of the dios up to this point and don't intend on stopping.

This one will just have to have a little customizing done to it to make it acceptable to me.

But, for any Sideshow big wigs who read these posts...that is really a piss poor attitude to have with the people who are still forking out good money to you in these tough economic times.
