the predator one goes for that much already?? i preordered it and never look at the prices, I thought it went for around retail though

yeah when i was on ebay looking for accessories i saw a regular P1 that went for about $300.
no idea why, it was really easy to get for a while. then again, it retailed for almost $200.

but i've seen just the ex bio go for $50 by itself, which is retarded.

Get one of the AVP preds. either scar, celtic or one of the ancients. I've owned all and no offence to anyone but i really hated the P1 the most out of the lot.

Celtic absolutely rocks. A bit expensive, but I'm proud to have him. Gorgeous figure and the coolest bio of the lot IMO. AVP Elder is also good. Very underrated. You don't get a wearable bio (due to his open mouth and quills), but you get a cape and some sweet accessories. Hard to believe he's the cheapest of the AVP Preds.

And the P1's awesome, dude!

I ended up selling my hot toys AVP preds save for 2 AVPs and 4 WOLFs and bought the Sideshow P1 maquette instead.

That was the starting of the statue addiction

Definitely feel the P1 is the figure to get. He's not the best from Hot Toys, but he's one of their best Predators and easily the most iconic/important of all the releases.

Now, having said that I think the best figure is the P2 Elder, but he'll set you back at least $500. And while a great figure, he's simply not worth that much.

And if you're going to get a P1, I'd say you better move fast. He's jumped up in price very quickly and I have a feeling he'll be a $500 figure before too long.

I first got P1 and lost, then found this board and got all rest except the asian edition scar.

i actually like being able to pose the dreads. its more troublesome but with some TLC they can really boost the realism of dynamic posing.

Not sure about cartoony but when overall look without much modifications (eg, neck mods and the rest) the AVP preds actually look quite good.

Again, perhaps because P1 was and is my favourite pred movie, i was more particular about wanting it to match with the pred i knew.

Anyhow, it did have a happy ending with me managing to buy the SS P1 Ex Maquette, so its all good

I don't think the AVP predators are good, in fact I hope to own them one day. I just think the P1 is the best figure, and the Wolf is a close second.
