Will Hot Toys (or anyone) ever make fully licensed T-1 figures?!

Unfortunately, or forunately (however you look at it) collectors are forced to make their own. There are a number of great items out there if you were wanting to make a T1 figure... but some of the parts (especially if you want a Saturday Toys Biker set) can be pricey. I think I have about $200 invested in my custom T1 Arnold.

And it shows. Your T1 Arnold is amazing! :clap

Likewise. I've sent Les a PM and a few emails inquiring about it but have not gotten a reply yet. I do, however, understand his situation. Still hoping.

Hopefully when he gets some better luck and has a chance to cool off some, I wil bug him about one too. :D

:banghead I'm tired of the T1 customs. No offense to you guys who've made or acquired them but theres a whole thread full of them already.

Its a really sad and annoying reality that any talk of official T1 figures inevitably just becomes another 'custom' figure thread. If Hot toys got the license to make figures from The Terminator and simply didn't go so far as to get actor licenses I don't see why they can't return to the license and this time go the whole way of sorting things out with the actors.

Well unless someone has some concrete info that HT is or isn't going to make a Arnold T800 from T1, then all we can talk about is customs.

In one of the NECA T2 threads Tankman said he'd love to do T1 figures but its not up to him. So I hope the T2 figures do as well as they deserve to for NECA that this may become a possibility. And again, Hot toys went halfway once so I hope they see it as a worthwhile venture to go the full way - just I'm not familiar with any cases where are a company revisited a license they've already tried kinda sorta recently.

where is this thread?

Its the "building the ultimate T-800 thread" - least I think thats the title. Everyone posts every Terminator related custom in there.
