Do you think Sideshow will release any 12" Jasons from part 5 or part 8 - to complete the collection (well apart from the remake).

Now I know it was pretty much Roy in 5 - but Jason was at the start and in flashbacks.

I would deffo buy these figures.

No, they dont have the licence anymore. That line is over.

Nope. When I went to SDCC last year I showed my two customs of these missing Jason figures to Brent and others at Sideshow. They expressed to me how happy they were that someone out there was making them, because they had not been able to do them before the license went bye bye. So it is 100% confirmed that they will not ever release any more Jason figures.

And here I was waiting for them to do the remake version wondering why it hadn't been revealed during Toyfair. That is one thing I hate about Sideshow, they never complete any of their friggin' lines. Makes me wonder how long til the Star Wars line just stops.

Dang it - I really wanted a part 8 - oh well.

I guess I will have to make my own - and I have the exc versions of part 4/7 and jason x still to open so I guess thats something.

Highlander is different, they didn;t sell. F13 did, the license contract just expired before they could complete the line.

Thanks for the plug EvilFace, that was very cool bro. :duff

And yeah, it was really sad that they didn't finish this line. It would have been easy to just make those two figures. Especially Roy, everything about that figure is simplicity. I guess they thought it wouldn't sell.

The fact that those two were never made was what set me on my path to trying to finish the set. I desperately wanted to make them, not only for me, but for anyone else.

Really no reason they couldn't have done those figures before the license expired... but oh well, better to have a fully painted and weathered one than buy it at retail and have to pay to have the work done to it.

How do you know which licenses they currently carry?
How do we know when one expires?
Is it the same thing for James Bond?
Is that license expired too?

Typically they will remain silent if a license has expired or been yanked, but with some (like Highlander, Newline Horror, etc.) we have been given official word from Sideshow.

You can thank a select few jack asses for prompting Sideshow to share that info.

DarkArtist81 a few posts above makes some great figures, hit him up for one.

:lecture YUP! What he said! :lol. I didn't pick up the Part V because I look at that movie like Halloween III (dream sequences or not :p). But I've paid for DA's commission of VIII. Some might consider it a bit pricey compared to the others, but who cares? :huh If it only looks half as good as the pics DA's posted in his gallery, it'll be well worth the cash (if not worth more ;)) and there's a naked spot on my shelf waiting for the arrival of this piece that'll be comparable to my two faves, the III (the grail of the line), and VII.

Then, once this fine piece arrives, I'll need to bug EvilFace for a custom stand and box and he'll be complete!

So if your dedication's there, and you have a little extra cash, they got ya covered! :D

Josh does amazing work on the Jasons, as does Evil on his decals :rock :rock :rock

A winning combination.
