Have you seen the prices of Hot Toys? The figure are almost statue prices! Imagine if they did 1:4 scale how much the statues will cost? They would be the most expensive statues ever made. Your logic of SSC on a decline is not valid. They are still the best when it comes for value for dollar wise. :lecture

Hellooooo?? I never pay more than $200 for HTs. Most Hot Toys figures do not cost more than $200 anyway. But I do agree the price does go up very very quick. And who is Enterbay? I never heard of them before. But their 1/4 Bruce Lee cost only 180, though it's not polystone but the likeness is a WoW!! compare to SS's Bruce Lee which is a piece of ____. And did u see the preview of Enterbay's T800? If not, check them out. Don't get me wrong, I do love SS but I really think SS will decline. Just look at their exclusive instock.

Hate to agree with the man but this Bruce Lee does look more like the legend than does SideShow's. And @ 45cm or around 18", it's roughly 1/4... for $170. I've never heard of Enterbay either (well up until the post above) and I don't quite like the pose of this Bruce Lee; but few of us can deny that SS's face sculpts are laughably off sometime. Cyclops EX, Black Cat, anyone?

That said, it would be foolish to presume that facial sculpts or price alone would forestall SS's continued dominance: marketing, brand equity, warranty and returns policies, re-sale value, overall quality of materials, lead times to market, license deals, packaging, availability and retail distributorships... there are so many other factors to consider. It's difficult to see smaller firms competing, unless perhaps we see a merger of three or more smaller studios?

Whether lone entities like Enterbay, or ARH will eventually formulate a market strategy effective enough to to fend off SS's near monopoly--especially with that all-important Marvel license--is another thing. Perhaps in the long run; certainly not anytime soon, I think.

I've seen some of Enterbay's work and they are pretty good. I know that they are going to start doing a NBA line, and if you me and sports. This was all that I need to here to jump all in head first.
