I'm always looking to improve so I decided to rework my Depp sculpt a bit. I also updated my camera so I thought I'd try it out. I'm not sure if I'm completely finished yet but it's close...

Hey thanks marker2037. I feel like I've been talking to myself on this one :rotfl so I really appreciate it.
btw I have your Bill the Butcher hat ready. I was just going to pm you actually.

Beautiful re worked Depp dude! Thats looking awesome! Maybe this figure was a little too left field for people dont you think

Hell, I would be all over this if I had spare funds but, alas, I do not.

Great rework Scott. Much improved likeness.

Thanks man.
Yeah, it seemed like a good idea at the time:slap. I feel like it was one of Depp's more interesting characters he's played. I know there are some people like myself who are into having a 1/6 Dead Man but you're right, maybe not for most:dunno.

Thanks I appreciate that Snake Eater. It was challenging to not overdo his distinct features and make it look like a caricature.
It doesn't seem like he'll be selling out anytime soon so I'd say your chances are pretty good to pick one up later on buddy:wink1: :lol

Scott may have a little favour to ask of you

was hoping you could do a little custom for me :wink1:

Sorry to hear the sales have not been great so far bud.

Must just be the obscure nature of the character and not the craftsmanship at all. He really does look spot on and it is certainly one of my face depp roles.

Hope I can pick one up down the line.

That's really kind of you to say so. I'd hate to think of it as a total failure:monkey2 ... yeah that's a sad monkey.

110% agree with that!!!

Craftmanship is perfect just think maybe to obscure dude for people

So pleased we have such a talent like yourself though Scott offering full customs of figures we most likely wouldnt get :)

pm sent btw

hey velvet morning, I thing the figure is fantastic!!! I would be all over it, but I just paid for Serang's Spartacus the day before I saw your figure. He would look great with my Rainman collection of Good,Bad and the Ugly, my Appaloosa customs and my Harmonica custom. But alas I will not have any spare funds untill the end of Sept. so if you still have one to sell by then you will be hearing from me.

Cool El Cavo, sounds good. Congrats on getting Serang's Spartacus that is an outstanding figure; as well as the others mentioned for that matter. Mr. Barlow did an awesome job with his Harmonica sculpt.

Here is the final, final 1/6 Blake from Dead Man.

I made a few adjustments for the final figures from the prototype. First I refined the sculpt a little more. Then I decided to use real hair instead of synthetic; it's finer and softer than the synthetic. To be more screen accurate I fixed the direction of the plaid pattern so the dark lines read horizontal instead of vertical. Lastly I added beads to the medicine pouch that I overlooked on the prototype. Thanks for looking!
