Started thinking about the dreads again and what could potentially happen during shipment. :panic: :panic: :panic:

I hope this thing is packaged VERY well.

I thought all the die hard Wolf fans would be outraged at such inaccuracy. Only a few seem bothered.
The way I see it, netting on the legs is a fail on Sideshow's part.
Thank goodness, however, it's something that can be remedied at home.

How easily it will be to snip off the nettings is yet to be seen. It can be as simple as cutting each strand as close as possible to the surface of the statue or it can be a real pain in the neck.

The problem is, you risk scratching, chipping, or worse (i.e. breaking) the statue. There's also the possibility that cutting off the netting will leave a visible piece of the netting still embedded on the surface of the statue. That would look really unprofessional and an eyesore for anyone that knows it's there.

I would rather Sideshow take care of this problem themselves before shipping it out to their customers.

Huge wolf fan and its a damn shame ss could go an add not needed netting on the wolf, but cant seem to put all of p1 bone trophies on him. On a side note, i actually kinda dig the leg netting, but thats just me. :dunno

Because its not a big frikkin deal! If it bothers people that much, scissors might be a best friend at this time.

Also, no one knows how the statue is assembled. Maybe all the netting comes separately and you have to put them on yourself, maybe through little hooks underneath the respective spots on the armor.

I've just bought a sofa for £1000. If I had to cut something off or add something to it on delivery to make it match the product I saw in the store I'd sent it back and demand a refund.

It's like the collectors market is in a different universe altogether from the real world where people make practical decisons.

I agree. I'm a returner. They showed up with scratched furniture and I said don't bother bringing that in my house take it back and get me another. If there is any problem I normally will return something unless it is heavily discounted. This would not be the first NRD I lose but it would be the most expensive one. Not to mention shipping. Ug. I flexed this to help ease the pain. If there is netting on the legs I don't see myself flex paying much else now though. With my luck it will arrive broken like 2 of the 3 other predators arrived. Funny the 1/5 P1 statue is the only one that didn't have a problem for me and it's the one people like to complain about.

I don't know what bugs me more... the netting on the legs or that this LSF is not in scale with the other LSFs.

And yeah the Maul LSF is an easy target for price bashing lol for the reasons listed.

Exactly.....even though we shouldnt have to i will snip it off. Just paid secret compass for mines should be here soon

Oh, its a big deal.....its a HUGE DEAL. If I paid $2000 for this statue, it would be going back. Another thing and it may not be important to some people but changing the statue could also potentially devalue it. If you decided to sell it later and have cut pieces of the netting off...it could make it less valuable as most id imagine would want it how it came from SS.

Its a stupid, absolutely idiotic mistake on sideshow's part and it should be fixed before sending them out. I also believe it will be much harder to get off and look nice then some may think. I just do not think its going to be an easy fix.

collecting Sideshow statues is nothing compared to even more expensive stuff people collect. Collecting cars and original art is far worse. That's only two examples.....
