Of course not, no person in their right mind could. Those are 2 of the best SS pieces in any line.

The P1 one was AGES ago, it's old news and an old SS that has changed. It is indeed quite impressive, but not something I keep in mind when I am thinking about the POing the new predator statue. While the LSF is impressive, especially inperson, it's really the design that is impressive there are still some pretty big flaws that are the now traditional SS ****feast. So yes I think the production job that SS did on it is garbage. And at already-overpriced 2k it is imo unacceptable even if it's a bit better then their normal predator/alien standards (which are non-existant). I do think some of their designs are ****, but that's to be expected you can't please everyone and overall most of their designs and sculpts are pretty great. It's their execution and handling of everything that I take issue with.

Calling it "garbage" is nuts. Other than the questionable netting he is about as perfect as a mass produced piece is going to get and just as well done or better than the P1 IMO.

The netting was a mistake, the whip getting stress breaks unless in specific positions, and the face paint is ok but the finish on it is "wrong", it should have some gloss too it especially too match. I consider it garbage because of the price point and the mistakes. If it was 1k that would be fine, higher $ value higher expectations. I also don't consider a couple hundred "mass-produced". When cheap <$100 figures get similar or better paint jobs and have less mistakes it is garbage imo.

Garbage is harsh, until somebody gives us kits like that, or unpainted versions, that is the best we will get. The P1 isn't old news though. I agree it shouldn't be used as a comparison to new pieces, but what should really? SSC have very inconsistent production pieces, that is the main problem. You can have two statues release at the same time, one will be great (like my Engineer) the other will be a travesty (like my P1 bio and Big chap LSB) You need to take these things on their own merit. Point was, you said all SSC Preds were garbage, old or not, the P1 Maquette is outstanding. As is the Wolf aside from that stupid mistake that saw leg netting added. The old P1 and P2 dios were nice also.

It is harsh, but IMO true. I'm not saying people who have it shouldn't love it. For example I have my QMX Serenity BDR and it also has some lackluster portions, and while I probably would get it again (cause I love firefly and no one else has the license and I can't get anything else like it) I absoutely would not recommend it to anyone but the die hard firefly fans. It is a stupid purchase and for the pricepoint it's at they did a garbage job with it.
I didn't exactly emphasize ALL ss preds, just said SS preds and 1 out of many is not a great sample (and it is pretty damn old now ;p). And yeah they are inconsistent, and unfortunately any consistency they have is leaning towards being **** not being good.

It is NOT true by ANY stretch of the imagination. You seem to have impossibly high standards for mass produced pieces or lack of understanding of the meaning of the word garbage. Sure they could have done better. but no $100 figure is anywhere near as well done or painted. Some extra netting is inaccurate, but does not diminish the piece one bit and some people even prefer it. A slight lack of gloss and a couple broken whips on a few examples is FAR from what I would call "garbage". I trash the P2 Maquette all the time and as bad as it is I would not call it "garbage"

I'm more than happy with my Sideshow Predator collection.
I was going to say at least until the P2 production pieces start coming out.I just want to know where all these "better" Preds are, I sure don't see anything better than the Wolf or P1, even the CM has its own issues too. Nothing is perfect.

All things relative.. even a cheap 15 year old car that barely runs is still an impressive piece of engineering and technology. At 200 dollars it could be a steal, at 2,000 it might be garbage ;p

Cost is irrelevant, $10 or $10K it does not change the statue itself.

I don't discriminate on wolf Lsf. I like him just the way he is. Netting and all. I will keep dreaming to own this and maybe it will happen within the next 10 years saying if we don't get a better one than this. This one will be king with his awesome pose, base, and the head is insanely detail.

Again, perception does not affect how good or bad the statue actually is. If this cost 1 million dollars it would still not be "garbage", just severely overpriced.

how can I not have this? Who knew a no ES statue is so freaking rare and gone after it just came out? How???? Why????
