Actually it does on everything on this planet ;p but if you don't think so that's fine you can have your own opinions and I can have mine ^^

No, not really. Perception by a single individual has no effect on the item being perceived(unless you want to get into quantum mechanics). You can think what you like all you want, does not change reality for the rest of us.

No but an item being garbage is a perception in the first place. When people call something garbage they don't literally mean it has turned into trash, they mean it is of poor quality or value. Now something can be garbage to a person and that's a personal perception, however if it becomes a general perception then it can be accepted as a whole. But of course you should know that, but if you want to try and be fancy and technical sure. Some were undoubtedly thrown in the trash (bad casts, broken from shipment etc) which literally makes it garbage as well as figuratively.

I am quite aware that my perception of this being garbage is not shared by most, but it is an opinion of which for some reason you think I shouldn't have one of my own. If you have this piece and you like it great, you spend the money on it enjoy it. If my dislike of it for some reason makes you enjoy yours less or gets you emotional you probably have some issues to get worked out.

Also it literally would have nothing to do with quantum mechanics. Something turning into the accepted definition (literal, not figurative) of garbage has nothing to do with how matter behaves, interacts, or changes on any level (much less atomic/subatomic). It's just reclassifying something for disposal. If I threw away a piece of paper the paper is still made up of the same thing (until possibly one of the disposal methods changes the matter of course, some of which do and some of which don't). Quantum Mechanics :rotfl:rotfl:rotfl:rotfl:rotfl (and quantum mechanics and perception lawl)

You did not understand my reference. In physics, changes can be caused by simply observing/perceiving. I was in fact saying this is NOT the case here, as it sounded like that is what you were trying to argue. "garbage" is not a perception, it is a noun for something of NO value, not something for what you personally feel is poor quality or worth lower than its value. General perception does not make something true either. All I said was the word you used was incorrect. You can say you don't like it all you want, and that's fine, but you can't call it garbage(hell, it is even a rule here for keeping trolls at bay, though obviously not working in this thread:lol).

Goggling the definition garbage the very first two results that come up (including Merriam-Webster) say "inferior" and "poor quality". Here is one of the examples: There's nothing but garbage on TV tonight. I'm didn't exactly study science much especially physics and I don't want to look up info to refute you on physics. However you specifically said QUANTUM PHYSICS which is about change (on an extremely small scale) that is not continuous. It has to do with observation but only in that it's about observing change, so bringing up quantum physics was the most irrelevant thing you could have done.

Garbage is indeed a perception. Garbage doesn't have too have no value, just the opposite all garbage has some sort of value or another. Generally it has a diminished value to the owner causing them to dispose of it but it has value. General perception does make things true, at least in the eyes of humanity. For example lets take physics, they are only true to humanity because they are generally accepted. Only an idiot thinks that all of our laws of physics are correct, and it is obvious (and well known) that we don't understand all physical phenomenon. Nobody knows everything about anything (or even any one thing), so literally everything in this world is about perception. Doubly so when dubbing something with a moniker like garbage since it's literally a word that was made to assign to something that someone perceives of a certain use or value.

Just like the saying says, "one mans trash is another mans treasure". That's because one man perceives it as treasure and one man perceives it as treasure (also note it goes through no change even on a subatomic level so no quantum physics involved :rotfl)

You've done more trolling then me, all I did was express an opinion and you seem to have made it your mission to try and make me look stupid and disprove me despite my multiple attempts to say "we both can say whatever we want and choose to believe whatever want and we should move on". I didn't say it with the meaning to offend anyone, and I even expressed why I think of it that way. It's a discussion board, not a love everything board, and I discussed why I think it's garbage.

I didn't choose to attack someone because they don't think it's garbage, or call them brain damaged, or try to insult them. I shared my opinion and I wasn't trying to do so in a disparaging way to anyone this thread.

It does look very nice ;p But overpriced, but for a fan price doesn't matter sometimes ;p Like I said I love my BDR, but it's too expensive and has some issues. I would buy it again all the same though, even if I don't recommend it to most. The netting does look fine, though it seems to be a continual problem with SS to let not-so-small things slide because they refuse to have a QC person in china. The design of it is awesome, and I have to say they picked the best predator to put in a dynamic pose like that as it would just look weird with the P1 and P2.

Having owned both statues at one time, IMO compare to Xm Magneto, this for 3k is a steal.

Retail prices not aftermarket ;p

But when something that's like 1/3rd the size sells for the same in aftermarket prices (and there are 4x as many) that's really all you need to know right there tbh....

That means absolutely nothing, I won't waste my time explaining why not as it is not worth talking to a wall. For not liking this piece you sure hang around an awful lot. Aren't there better threads to troll?

I hand around the alien section, and it's pretty easy to tell when one has a new post in it cause it goes to the top and gets bolded ;p Or are you not familiar with the basic forum mechanics? ^^

Most people only got interested in buying this when they closed the edition and it became rare anyways.... it literally had no ES and the stupid high price and barely sold which is why they closed it in the first place. It is big and has a nice design, but has some issues that should never happen with a massively overpriced piece such as this. If people were really willing to buy it on it's own merits it would still be for sale like the other LSFs that sold well enough.

The only reason this is sought after is because they ended production early, making it quite rare. Definitely overpriced.
The P2 is overpriced @ $1,200.

If I was offered one now, at retail, I'd still pass.

I think if the P2 was fixed up and it came out like the prototype it wouldn't be overpriced. It is expensive for sure, but not too horribly overpriced (1k would be better ;p). But it won't be fixed, and I very much doubt it will have the quality when it comes to the production pieces.

Lets be honest, the P2 is a rip off as much as we all want it. It is $1600+ when all is said and done, that pays a lot of bills in the real world. It would have been expensive if it were perfect, with it's rubbish head however it is a very hard pill to swallow.

And yet I still want to buy it... We all have issues.

Wolf was overpriced which is why I didn't get one, he's a cool statue though and the fact he is somewhat rare makes him more desirable, that is just the nature of the hobby. I always wanted one, not until he became rare would I actually buy one at the huge cost. I wish SSC would just put ES numbers on these LSF's.

I have to admit I as a little upset when I paid all that money and got a box that was no different than a PF. I thought some of these LSFs came with extra lining or better boxes in the early days. I sold this and I still feel this is one of the coolest scaled statues I ever owned. I fear for it's fragility though.

Agreed I wished I didn't wait so long. But who would've known the production ended so fast for a no ES statue. Reminds me of the snafu order with the SW chrome droid set. A shocking 200 for so popular exclusive characters. In a way I like the collectibity but it is what it is. Kind of makes the hunt fun. LSf I may never have now but who knows. I'm only willing to pay retail for it now. One sold for 2k a month ago so it's very possible. This is the best predator ever made. Stunning statue! :hi5:

200 because the regular version was better... Rarity and all I still prefer the reg edition of the droids

I always liked chrome on things. Not to mention I liked the lower ES statues as a bonus so ex was the go to set. That set is awesome to own but I'm not a big enough Star Wars fan to pay those prices to get it. Except for eu characters. :lol
I remember the mem re who bought two wolf lsf. What a awesome collector to own 2 of these.

I had one on order long before it was disappearing. I think many of the people who claim that it's overpriced have not seen it in person. It is definitely one of my favorite pieces that I own. It is large and very dynamic. You can't find anything like this statue anywhere unless you go the custom route, and then you don't get ADI's sculpt.

I also think that the idea of it being undersized is leftover from incorrect measurements given out before the release that stated it was 31 inches tall TO THE TOP OF THE WHIP. The correct measurement is 31" to the top of the head. It was corrected on the sideshow page, but originally was incorrect.

Anyway, It's really amazing. Enough sour grapes. Had to comment because this thread needed some positivity. :)

Me saying it's overpriced isn't sour grapes it's my opinion.

Undersized? Who said anything about it being undersized? Compared to what?
Considering most LSFs are 1:2 scale then, compared to them, it is undersized :D
