LOVE this statue. The base is just perfect, nice visual interest, tells a neat story without being overbearing, sculpt looks great and I really don't mind his face. 500 bucks is simply too much for me though 
If i didn't have sideshows spiderman and Valkyrie of the Dead on OP I just might of been able to swallow the 500.....maybe....

Not one of those statues is coming out within the next 2 years. You have plenty of time to save up.

Well Kier 'should' be out in January at the latest. Shame i actually really like the EX too sword really ties the whole thing together i find. Also food i like food even more lol. You guys are terrible influences.

The gore group (Martin Canale) did the old Sabretooth PF and this new PF looks to use the exact same face sculpt, the sculptor who did the new Wolverine face sculpts also did the Reeve PF head sculpt.

OK, so I just got back home from my vacation yesterday to see that the brown Wolvie PF is up for PO. For me personally, it does have some pros and cons. What I like: The pose looks killer, the base looks cool, I actually like the portraits, and love the EX sword. Cons: Not a fan of the texturing on the costume, belt looks too skinny/narrow for me, not liking the longer (spanks looking) shorts, Wolvie needs hair on his body (Logan is a hairy dude), and obviously I'm not digging the price increase on these new PFs. I don't mind paying a higher price tag for quality merch but SSC has proven to be hit or miss in that department. If the prices are going to increase by as much as they have recently, then I expect the quality of their merch to do the same.
Overall, I do like the piece and I want a brown Wolvie in my collection. However, there's really nothing about the piece that makes me feel compelled to PO it now. I'll probably wait until after SDCC and make a decision then.

I like it ('em). Have I seen nicer portraits sure (I dislike GL LSB and Reeve) but I don't think by a whole lot.
Yes I think the upper lip should curl up instead of under and should have been totally different for the mask-less portrait. But, why no one from SS or Marvel saw what we all see I don't know. I immediately asked, hissing?
This is only a proto so there is time to adjust the lip and use metal claws and sword. (Alex says they are not metal)
Oh and does anyone know why there is two different leather textures going on? I like the detail in the mask and torso, but pick one and go with it.
As for price, I said before, all these hikes have been for new PO's and since then BG and Lobo have released so MAYBE we have a new factory and/or tighter QC affecting the cost.

Non metal claws? Fail. As for adjustments from here on out, don't count on it. I've honestly never seen a piece improve from prototype phase. SSC either matches proto like lobo which is awesome or it gets worse like reeve or IP PF. Their are extremely rare cases of head sculpts being redone after PO but that would take a miracle. Disney must have already approved this so it ain't gonna change. If you like heads great. If not get a custom head.
