I doubt you'd have to pass anyway, Filip, they don't use that weird feltish material any more anyway. So if it did have fabric, it'd probably be like the Superman/Batman PFs

You're absolutely right Josh. If they use the same fabric as they did on Bats and Supes, I'm down for that. Although, I would still rather that it's fully sculpted. It's a rare occasion where I prefer fabric to a fully sculpted piece. However, it does happen from time to time. Lobo is the most recent example. I think the mixed media on that piece takes the whole PF to a higher level.

I have and adore the original Wolverine PF. It is top notch all the way around. So I am probably not on deck for this one, but happy they are doing it.

Alex had said before last SDCC that we would probably have X-Men at this SDCC, so likely whatever is coming is long since approved. As has been noted, that is the norm for SS, and they only do these sneaks when they are ready to bring something out.

Hopefully, they hit the necessary marks for this to be a grail piece. Namely, lipstick, monotooth, and aquaman arms.

In all seriousness, looks like it may indeed be THE Wolverine peeps have been waiting for.

I've passed on A LOT of PFs over the years for that reason. The only thing that has changed my mind is the Bats and Supes PFs. The material used on those 2 PFs changed everything for me personally. Those costumes look great. The cheap looking bad felt like cloth SSC used before them had me passing on many PFs. I think SSC has improved tremendously in that department. However, 1/4 fully sculpted PF will almost always be golden in my book.

I have the Hulk PF with fabric pants, but even that makes me nervous. Fabrics can dry out and crumble, shrink, discolor, etc.

Pretty much ...yea. I've only bought PFs that were fully sculpted or mostly sculpted. For example, Poison Ivy, Classic Catwoman, White Queen and Batgirl. I stayed away from mixed media ...even the Batman and Superman PFs.

My trinity right now are the Kotobukiya WW, Bats and Supes. Waiting on fully sculpted 1/4 scale trinity that I like.

What I need are awesome fully sculpted 1/4 scale statues of superman and batman. Ones where fabric is not covering the highly sculpted definition of the statues.

The mixed media PFs are good, but not to my liking.

I understand exactly where you are coming from. Hold out for what you like. Sooner or later they'll get arournd to making what you want. Especially with Bats and Supes. There'll be multiple statues of both characters coming out. I hated the cloth costumes on the Spidey and Green Goblin PFs. Passing and waiting worked out for me. I was able to purchase the 1/4 Spidey COM and now it looks like a new GG PF is in the works as well. I hope GG is fully sculpted as well. Now, if I could only get SSC to make a fully sculpted Cap PF, my Marvel collection will start looking the way I want it to.

I think one can love the original Cap, original Hulk, Thing, original Thor, Batman, and Superman PFs - and dislike the Wolverine pajama PF.

Agreed.

Only time I like mixed media is on coats (Gambit), jackets (Cyclops, Rogue), capes, or cloaks.

I guess you can add vests (hopefully future Guy Gardner).

Otherwise keep the muscles and details visible with fully sculpted.

Ehhhh, I like the cloth on most PF's. Adds that element of realism that I really enjoy. My 100% sculpted pieces are ok, but it is the cloth/leather etc. that makes it for me. My daughter is adamant about it too, she loves the fabric elements.

That said, the original Spidey PF cloth outfits...not a fan, so they didn't all work. But the Original Wolverine PF, that looks great in hand. Now his counterpart Sabertooth looks like jammies, at least in pics. Never seen that one in hand. I assume that it doesn't get much better though which has held the price down on it. But when they get it right? Epic. Superman is just a joy to take in. If anything, I wish they had gone for a cloth cape too!

Of course the sneak on Brown Wolvie looks fully sculpted, so those that want that costume or fully sculpted are getting what was asked for. Hope we see it in full soon.

Yeah, I know exactly what I am missing. Disappointment from deteriorating materials on my statues. Otherwise, I am happy as can be. Something I like and has no mixed media, always comes along, just like this Spiderman PF.
