I joined a few weeks ago, If mine converts, I'll update the thread so people can have a sense of where we are in that process. I think it's more likely to convert than not. I was on the wait list for the Grey Hulk EX for more than a year and it eventually converted.
There's always a risk but the REGs are usually around even after a piece starts shipping. Don't seat it even if it sells out. You can almost always pick up a REG for retail (sometimes even a little less) in the aftermarket if you jump on it right after it sells out. Especially if the statue has a high ES to begin with.
I jumped on the waitlist for the EX and also put an order in for the regular. With Sideshow if the EX converts will they cancel my regular and transfer the NRD? I think I remember reading that before, but just wanted to double check.
Cool, thanks. This piece is too good to miss out on, so I wanted to make sure I locked one up. I like the EX, but if mine doesn't convert no biggie.

when you order the regular edition do you have to pay a deposit before it ships? and what do you plan to do if the regular edition ships before your EX converts?

Well you have to pay your deposit right away. We all do. So your deposit is in long before it ships. The remaining balance is obviously charged before it ships.
If above scenario occurs then you have to make a decision. Toss your NRD for the reg and wait to see if you convert. Or just do with the reg. Or if you want the EX that badly and want to wait and not lose your NRD for the reg. Keep the order for the reg and if you convert sell your reg.
For me personally, if my regular ships before the EX converts, I will just cancel my waitlist request. The EX is a nice to have but not a necessity for me, and I don't want to deal with selling one of these.

That happened with me on the Batgirl. I put the regular on a flex pay to give myself some more room to wait for the Ex to convert (which it did thankfully), then I phoned them and they just transferred my payments (was only the deposit and one flex) from the regular over as a credit on the EX. As long as they are getting your money they are happy haha.
