I still have tons of space and a lot of money. I just decided about two years ago that I'm not just gonna keep statues just to plug a hole in my collection, if the statue is not worthy of keeping for any QC reasons or the feeling of a cheaply made statue not worth the money that I've paid for it. Just as a collector I've grown tried of SS treating us, me the consumer like trash or the take it of leave it mentality. I can count at least 10 statues that I've just let pass or returned. That in past years I would have kept or ordered.

That just my side of the cut back story.

This is really crossing my mine more and more. I'm so frustrated with SS on replacements, lies, fake sellouts, record breaking ES, even on less popular characters which makes no sense but for milking on for maximize profits, price hikes on small reg size statues, shipping hikes, etc. It's just not the same anymore. The more I see posts like this the more im thinking about this. I really love these things but SS is making it so hard now.

Oh boy, on statue forums there was a couple of members who now aid their LCS will be getting these back in stock again. Hard to believe so many was not counted, lost or forgotten. Cancel orders? last 20 and never again huh? If they were truthful about making more then so be it. But many would have not jumped in at near 2000.00 right away knowing they had plenty of time to order. I would not lie with how fast and low they made it seem. I actually thought about getting one before it was too late. So glad I waited. Nice was for SS to guarantee a few quick sales.

wow so much for the wolverine thread the last 15 pages have been dedicated to bashing sideshow if you want them to notice create a post for it

:dunno

I must admit I thought SS were always going to make more of these if they sold well. There 2K a piece with an open ES. Think of the profits SS must be making on these. If SS did order another 60 to be made that's 120,000 bucks. As a business that's to hard for them to turn down.

Was planning to order this in a couple weeks, but I think I may just wait until Fall now. I've only got one spot where I can display something larger than a Bowen comfortably. With Ivy showing up in a couple weeks, and Galactus a month or so later, I don't think I would get a chance to really appreciate either of them.

If Galactus slips again, I may change my mind- otherwise that's the one I've really been chomping at the bit for.
One thing though about the Wolverine that I find very alluring, especially in contrast to Galactus, is that the piece has an overall matte texture to it, while the big G looks to be extremely high gloss shiny. For things this size, matte textures are a lot easier on my eyes.. and just look a good bit classier to me.
Galactus should be a fun piece, but the bling bling aesthetic of it has me a little wary.

Not that it really matters anymore since they came out looking great, but don't forget they also lied about his claws being made of metal. Instead, they were ABS. I remember watching madxcollector's SDCC youtube vid for the 1:2 scale line, and the SS rep (or whomever the hell that guy was) told him that the claws that were on display were made of resin; however, the ones coming out of production would be made of metal.

I can bet money that the dude was lying like a rug even at that moment. He knew people would be watching that vid once it got posted. Anywho, it's still a fantastic 1:2 scale depiction of Wolverine....no question. The best there is, and the best all around display of him I've seen yet. Thank the maker there aren't any major QC issues with it.

Quite a noticeable difference dont you think!...all I need is for SSC to send me the left hand which goes with the darker colour right hand and we'll have a match!! Ha!

:slap Good grief! This thing burst out of the gate with such a bang- great buzz from Averone, spectacular pics from you. Now for the last week it's been nothing but issues- from matters of the actual stock numbers to broken hands arriving to multiple people, replacements arriving chipped or broken, and now this. I have to say, this kind of stuff makes me far more leery about getting it than any concerns over an elastic ES.
FWIW, I like the brighter blue, as it goes better with the blue in the other parts of the costume. So apparently, when I do get around to ordering this, it's going to be a coin flip as to what color scheme I'll get
:ohbfrank: not cool.

Claws are amazingly realistic bro, don't worry. In fact as a parent I feel a lot safer not having real metal ones, especially as accidents do happen. In all honestly you can't even tell that they are not metal :) However, as a lot of owners are finding out, the claws are not glued in at all well and have been arriving loose or in some cases completely removed from the hand itself. It is an easy fix mind you. The claw you see below was one that i fixed. Infact 2 out of the 3 blades were loose and so i pulled them out and glued them back in again. Now they are fixed in permanently!!

Yea! That darker hand on the left was a replacement hand SSC sent me. Such a massive QC error on SSCs part as you can't display Wolvie with 2 different shades of gloves!! The original pair were much more of a match...

Remember when they said that LSFs would all be 100% American made? Too many BS from sideshow these last few years but the only thing we could is vote with our wallets and stop buying anything from them
I've dramatically reducer my number of purchases from them and I've gotten more and more interested in one of a kind pieces but they still have some amazing statues like this Wolverine. And I dont even wanna think about how much it'd cost me if I had it custom made.

The claws look great in every pic and video I've seen. Only reason I can see for needing these to be real metal is so that the owner can brag to guests looking at it that "those are REAL metal!" But when the effect is mimicked this well, it just doesn't matter.
And as you say, these are a lot safer.

Dammit, every time I see a new pic, I feel my lust for it rising anew.
This is far and away the coolest Wolverine's ever made... and one of the best comic book character representations overall. The only aspect of this that isn't 100% to me are the biceps which have looked off to me since the first reveal at SDCC '12. More acute from certain angles. And then there are some angles where they don't stick out at all.
Too much else about this is a grand slam though.

Damn. I gotta stay out of this thread or I'm gonna cave early, I just know it :lol

This is such a spectacular pic! It looks like you have a wonderful nook here to display this- why did you box it back up? Do you have something else that normally goes here?
Also, what is the light source you're using. Would it work discretely for display purposes, or is the angle you're taking the picture from simply concealing it?

I know, buddy. They look fantastic. I mean, it sucks that they're not metal, but they still look really sweet for not being metal. I'm gonna eventually end up getting this. It sucks though, because I just started out and my want-list is huge. This is just a tad bit lower on the tier for me, but I'd still love to get it.

I am really glad they decided to restock this as I posted somewhere earlier that I needed to wait until June/July before I could get it, but then the first grouping was gone before I could. If they sell out again before I snag it, then it's no biggie...I won't be too bummed out.

Thanks Mose :) it is an amazing piece...my second LSF in my collection and just goes to show how amazing the LSFs are as the two I have are both my favourite pieces in my collection, other being the Iron Man LSF.

I'm currently house hunting at the moment, with a new baby on the way we are in need of more room, and I'm in need of my own man cave! Lol! It's back in its box for space reasons and also i'd like to get all my LSFs in display cases at some point so wanting to protect it more so from dust or any accidents (projectile vomiting from newborns for example! Lol!) so it's safe and sound in its box at the moment. I've since replaced him with my Batman DX09 Batcave Diorama which is much lighter and considerably smaller than the Wolvie LSF. The light source you see on the Wolvie is just a strip of LEDs which I've placed around my rotating turntable...lighting is so important when displaying your pieces...especially ones that are this good! Here's a pic of my Wolvie LSF

If you do get it bud then you won't regret it. In hand this piece is just amazing...pics in my opinion just don't do these LSFs any justice at all...with that said, here are a few more to help you guys make your decision! Lol! :)

This has been true for every statue I've ever owned...no matter what the size or subject.

Which makes the prospect of this one all the more tantalizing. Every pic I've seen so far has made it look incredible. Between the size and the pose, the presence of this in person just has to be viscerally electric.

Have you considered that your troubles with replacements may be that you filed SO many claims in 1 YEAR that they are taking a closer look at you... That or you pissed them off....:rotfl
