So with open ES there is no number for each, eh. So that kind takes away from the collectibility aspect a tad....

Yeah, call me a greedy collector or not in it for the fun, but I like my stuff to be limited, especially if I am spending big $$$

Have to give great credit to Sideshow for allowing a collector pay this off over 10 months. Bravo.

They probably figured they would increase their orders by doing so. It's more of a benefit to Sideshow insuring more orders. Hope not too many collectors go into bankruptcy during their 10 months. ;)

Nah, had no idea that you had sold some of your BD collection. I'm guess it's time to let go of a few things. I guess we all have to streamline our collection at some point in time, or risk going from a collector to a out of control hoarder...(no pun intented)

A hoarder is he, who cannot let go of his/her possessions.
Im guessing you already know I am not one. :monkey3

So Iron if there was a limited production of this then you would buy one?

maybe if i ever move to a larger house I will consider getting a 1/2 scale piece. you need to have a giant house or be single to have space for pieces like these. Unless your wife is cool with it sitting in HER living room...haha. Still, purchasing a bunch of these at 2k a piece is A LOT of money. i still love 1/4 scale the most.

Yes absolutely :exactly:

However I could see some of you selling many of your little 1/6-1/4 or all of them to buy a few of these instead. I guess its just a matter of taste after all...

Yeah, my wife would kill me. The only 1:2 I would risk my life to get would be Indy. But even still, I do like the 1:4 scale and that is what got me interested in collecting to begin with. I am just curious as to how many of these SSC will sale. Looking at some collections, looks like a lot of members have deep pockets.

Looks great to me....people nitpicking...nothin new I guess :dunno

Funny, how its all the HT guys! Yet .... again! :wave
You know, nothing wrong with having like a 100 cool HT and one big 1:2 so you can arrange your HT around him! :lol

I've been selling off some of my stuff already, but I used the $ for Doom ex & Hulk PFs, known pieces with a history of high quality. The next purchase for me 2k or above will be another motorcycle (might even happen today) which I will enjoy infinitely more than a 1:2 scale interpretation of a character sitting in one place. The only character I would consider in this scale is Vader, but it would have to be a perfect film representation and we all know SS is not capable of that.

averone do you also collect 1/6 or no?

I collect a select few from BD
The character I still get are,

IM
Cap
Thanos
A very few Hulks

However I am now collection HT more and more as they have the best IM around :clap

I think 1:4 scale is a great size. Personally I the 1:3 scale is ideal, but I can't really afford the CM stuff, that's if I could even find it! To me the 1:2 scale is big and cool, but past that 1:3 scale, I think it's worth jumping into 1:1. After all...a half scale figure will take up just as much space as a life size figure as far as floor space...and possibly wall space, once you set up your half scale figure on a table. So for me 1:4 and 1:1 win.

Yes I totally get it.
I know your young and have a good life. You did the right thing!

I have had the bikes, the cars and now I have the wife and family so to me this is something totally different.
We are both very lucky. I do think about getting a new bike from time to time. But then Im happy with the one I got. Its all about what you enjoy at the end.
The bike and the statue will both depreciate, its just the way it is.
I cant look at these as investments. To make money on them is something you do if you need the money. Im fortunate I guess.
If I sell with a loss then I sell with a loss and recoup somewhere else.
