you're comparing apples to t2.
corman's ff movie was not only low budget, but unfinished and never intended to be released as it was. it exists only as a bootleg.
t2 would be garbage without the fancy big budget fx.
and yet, corman's dr doom was still cooler than the 2005 version. go figure.

I may be...you're probably correct...

and the point you just mentioned is definately a very valid one....

I simply don't think the new Wolv movie is "horrible" was how this all started, just my opi....

Thanks for the discussion...

We all win in the end anyways because I agree with what is being said...

I just want to see a man with fangs and a long coat run on all 4's.....that's got to count for something...no? :)

Win Win if you ask me

I didn't actually think it was as bad as a lot of you guys did but for some reason I could not get over, IMO, one of the lamest plot devices to grace comic book movies yet -

amnesia by bullets!

Really?! That's the best they could come up with?!
I may be advertising my ignorance if that's how it happened in the comic but even so - wow! That is LAZY writing.:lol

Just the adamantium bonding process itself could have been the explanation as to why he had no memories. Something so traumatic and painful can actually do that to a person.

I can totally vouch for that....

Having personally lived thru my own Adamantium bonding process at the very young age of 3 1/2years old, I don't recall one single second of my life from birth to 3 1/2.

Not any of it.

That's actually what I always assumed caused the amnesia - in the X films the flashbacks seem to imply that he came out of the tank like a wild animal...kind of a rebirth.
I wouldn't even mind if the gunshots caused the amnesia as a side effect but the idea of intentionally shooting him in the head because "the memories won't grow back" is over my personal line of Suspension of Disbelief, comic book movie or not.

Ummm...

I would 100% guarantee you that whomever is shot in the head like they did in that movie which was at point blank range, heck...at any range, that they'll be losing MUCH MORE than just their memory...

So if a comic book movie wants me to believe that a gun shot caused amnesia, I'm ready and willing to buy that....

Or are you saying that the Suspension of Disbelief which you're having a hard time buying was the fact that he even survived the multiple gunshots to his head at point blank range one after another?

I'm having a hard time believing that anyone really likes this movie.

No, I'm saying I would buy that the gunshot wound would cause amnesia. I'm not buying the idea that someone basically says "I know these bullets won't kill him but they will cause him to lose his memories." And I know I'm nitpicking a very silly movie. I'm just saying some bits are a little too silly even on those terms.
I don't want to keep picking it apart. It was a good time killer and I look forward to seeing if they made any improvements in the meantime. I expected a disaster from the word of mouth and I was pleasantly surprised.

Well said,

i'll leave that one alone....LOL

:clap:rock:clap

i can't believe that i didn't like this movie!.... I can't believe they ruined Deadpool even with the Ryan Reynolds aka the Van Wilder.

I can't believe with that kind of budget that DP's costume ended up being a cheapo red t-shirt from Walmart! Pfft....

:horror:horror:horror:horror:horror

he wasn't deadpool just yet.... his costume is actually some cheap sharpie lines and a pair of red pants. :horror

lol

no doubt no doubt....

but in the beginning when he attacked that room, that red shirt I'm referring to......wasn't he DP already?

Man, even Daredevil had a better costume in his movie than DP.

:monkey5

Nah, he was Wade Wilson. I actually kinda liked HIS costume. It worked for the normal version of him.....but man....
