Wolverine Origins (Spoilers/Discussion)

It's much more complicated to practically shoot with helicopters, motorcycles and stuntmen on a real location than it is to cgi a robot.
The real problem with doing Sentinels is explaining why there are Senitnels when none of the storylines have gone there. And I actually don't think watching Wolverine go to town on a Sentinel in live action would be anything but lame. In animation it can be incredibly dynamic - in live action it will just look like it should be a cartoon.

Unrelated to robots, I was thinking it would have been cool if Wolverine had actually lobotmized Sabretooth in the scene where he has his fist under his chin. I think it was right before Age of Apocalypse (paging The Mike) that Wolvie skewered Sabertooth through the head and he ended up going kind of feral and simple. It would have been a good lead in to the big lumbering goon he is in X1.

Of course Wolverine won't do as well this week with Star Trek coming out and then Terminator the week after. Too many movies coming out this month for it to be #1 for weeks. It's silly to think it would. I'm sure Star Trek will be #1 this week with Wolverine being #2 or #3. Alot of Trekkers will probably see it numerous times.

yup. the same will go with terminator...i know i'm gonna see it at least two or three times the opening weekend.

Its happened a couple of times where Sabretooth has gone feral, once by a pop in the head from Wolverine and a few times where it wasn't explained he was just like that, most recently Romulus caused him to be so feral that he couldn't even use speech. They call it his "Blood Lust" and its that force combined with his childhood memories that causes him to be feral. Most recently he had to hire a telepath to put a binder in his mind to repress his "Blood Lust" so he could gain control and be more "human".

The thing about Sabretooth is he IS stronger than Logan. One of this common traits that was dropped was that Sabretooth on Logan's birthday no matter where he was or what he was doing would find him, showing is more accelerated tracking skills and beat him into an inch of killing him, then leave to prove the point that he could and nothing more. With the popularity of Wolverine obviously continuing to rise with every new media exposure, they've made Sabretooth more of a stooge than anything else. Even when the character was killed in 2007/2008 he allowed Wolverine to kill him to purge himself of Romulus' control. Wolverine didn't beat him.

Not one person has confirmed it. You get either the Logan in Japan ending, or the Deadpoop head ending.

Some people have said it...but i'm sure its just BSing from the BS ending someone posted a while ago.

I finally saw this today and I really enjoyed it. Thankfully, my only exposure to X-Men is the films, so I have no attachment to characters' pre-existing incarnations and things to feel oh they ruined him or her or anything, I just take the stories as they are. There were a few inconsistencies with the X-Men trilogy, but other than that I enjoyed it all. I do wish Wolverine's creation and escape lined up with the X2 footage, especially the claw slashes into the side of the tank and of course the whole drinks and celebrating you kept seeing in his memory flash backs.

Why does everyone think that, if you hated the film, its because of the fact the "characters" werent exacly like the comics? I have no knowlage to the marvel universe, sans some DP comics..but I read those after I watched Wolvorigins...

From what I heard you can pretty much insert any character into this movie and it still would suck.
