There's a difference between being fit and being ripped. I like fit. Don't really like ripped. (also it means the guy spends more time working out than doing other, more important things... like spending time with me ;))

Oh, I get the thing about Deadpool being the Merc With the Mouth - and his quips were enjoyable. That's definitely why they 'unmuted' him in the extra scene. I'm sure he'll be back and in better shape than ever!

Firing lasers out of his eyes and having his swords extend from within his arms where they would never actually fit-- yep, that's the Merc with the Mouth that fans know and love.

 :lol:rotfl:lol

But you totally missed my point... it worked in a stand-alone movie because it showed WHY he was shooting lasers out of his eyes and why he had swords in his arms, etc. And in regards to the length of said swords, who knows, maybe he has really long forearms like an ape :lol (kidding, although I wasn't paying that close of attention to how long his forearms were compared to the swords) - or maybe they are telescoping swords... and you know, technically, Wolverine's claws couldn't come out looking the way they do either because he wouldn't be able to bend his wrists when they were stuck inside him - right? huh, huh?? Explain that one ;)

I have no idea who the heck Deadpool is, I only know that's him from reading this thread. And personally I thought he was kinda cool in the movie :dunno :peace

The funny thing is the wife and I watched the Hulk vs. Wolverine clips before this and due to the character Deadpool constantly having to "put himself" back together in that we both noticed that aspect of the the character. I heard someone in the audience go "At least they got that right" after seeing the hand crawling in the after the credits scene. I don't know enough about that character to know whether or not its canon.

I liked Deadpool in the film, I had already said "Okay its a departure apparently completely" and I knew about the mouth which I didn't like because Reynolds did it perfectly in his Wade scenes but that fight scene I thought was the best out of the whole thing and the close-ups of Reynolds really helped sell it because he was grinning and smiling even through the healed skin flap over his mouth.

All i am going to say is, lots and lots of women made this movie all that money.

I'd say the theater I was in, maybe 1/4 were women and they were with men or young boys. I think I was the only one there that was with another women alone.

Other than my wife there were only five other women in there, the rest were all guys.

No I get your point-- I'm just messing with you. :peace

But while Indy in KOTCS existed in three other movies (and multiple comics as well as in his younger form in the tv series) there was no major departure for that character nor for the world around him: MacGuffin, baddies (commies instead of nazis or thuggees), damsel, sidekick (Mutt... Senior... Short Round... Sallah...), main bad guy gets what they want most and it causes their death, Indy chooses reason/family/moral values over wealth--fortune and glory kid. In this movie there was MASSIVE departure and characters tossed willy nilly onto the screen to simply say "look we included this one and that one" nevermind the complete absence of characterization or logic-- The Wolverine movie existed as a carbon cut-out of every other big budget action movie that's come out. Some good and some bad-- but this one just an unsatisfying amalgamation of all. I point to the most crinch worthy moment of Logan throwing his head back in agony as he holds his dead paramour in his arms as the camera sees from above him screaming out "KHANNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN...er, VICTORRRRRRRRRRRRR..."... or Ma and Pa Kent giving until they gets kinds of all blown up... Or the right stuff crew/Reservoir Dogs marching in a nice line towards their covert op... Or... But then there's just so many cookie cutting choices and I haven't even gone into the complete absence of substance.

I don't know. Maybe it was just me. :banghead

:lol

Sorry, I had to correct your statement....:lol

"What's the point of even discussing movies if your most critical thought process about them is that they passed the time or that the latest one "wasn't that bad"? You know what - if you want to turn off your brain for hours at a time, pick up heroin. At least that will make you interesting." - Devin Faraci, CHUD.com

I don't know if this has been discussed in the 70+ pages but after the credits I saw a scene with Wolverine sitting in a bar talking to an Asian female bartender. My friend swears that he saw a decapitated Deadpool reach for his head? are there two different prints of the film???

:lecture This movie really isn't even worth all of this discussion. I'm done.

So much for that! :lol

I thought three after credit scenes?

1. Stryker - naturally the one played after our movie
2. Logan
3. Deadpool

Alittle after the credits started, they showed the scene of Stryker walking, etc. Then after all the credits passed, they showed Deadpool. Some saw another scene, the one with Logan sitting in a bar.

I saw the Deadpool one. You haven't seen the last of him I'm sure.

Ugh......so there was additional footage AFTER the credits. I thought the scene during the credits was it. :banghead

Ah well, I have not read a post that said either had any real value. I guess I didn't miss much. Gives me an excuse to see it a second time :D
