I never thought the artist was a good choice to base a statue line off of. I thought Sue looked terrible and when you think of the price and ease of that particular sculpt it should have been out already. I wouldnt be surprised if this line did get canceled from lack of interest but im also sure they are in some sort of contract with jelena to do x amount of statues.

I assume in this case it was a matter of convenience. She had already done all those "Women of Marvel" variant covers for Marvel, and since they're just characters set against white backgrounds they work well as control art for statues. Djurdjevic is a good painter, but she doesn't have quite the flair for design her husband does. That's why they're better off working together.
