Blue eyes like in the comics.

All the Batman parts are cool. The rest not so much. Superman was pretty much wasted and used only as a sacrifice imo. That's what bothers me so much about Snyder DCU or this new DCMU Superman is so boring, and he does not have to be. Marvel made Captain America, the blandest comic book character of all probably the most interesting character in the MCU. Why couldn't DC or Warner Bros do the same for Superman?

I was replying to this from Karamozov
I did enjoy most of the Batman scenes. You just have to remove all the context (idiotic story, the fact that everything is Snyder-fied, forget Man of Steel, forget Luthor, forget Superman as much as possible, forget Doomsday), and forget about the odd behaviors that don't make any sense (Batman kills everybody, even if their only crime was helping Luthor to transport something from point A to point B; he hates Superman without real cause, and petty/vindictive Superman hates him back without real cause; ****ing Martha), and focus on him looking like a true bad-ass Batman, and beating the **** out of/killing thugs. It works best if you could pretend he's Nighthawk. Kinda like Batman, but not really Batman.

But at least you're on the right side.

I don't watch Batman movies very often but I'd say that BB, TDK, and B89 would be my top three. Though for variety's sake swapping TDK with BvS gives a nice range of Batman interpretations that all offer something uniquely positive that the others don't.

And Suicide Squad will always be harmless fun in the tradition of second tier Carpenter actioners (They Live, Escape from L.A., etc.) Would have probably been well served by an R-rating though.

I don't think Batman '89 is as great as many seem to nowadays.

Who thinks it's great? Nobody.

On this forum alone it's like me and two or three other people that still like it. It's mostly fallen by the wayside and forgotten, especially year after year with each new superhero movie.

For now, The Dark Knight is the only Batman movie everyone cares about and loves.

I love 89 Batman. After growing up with the campy Adam West version it was good to see a more serious take on the character.

It would have been cool to have gotten a couple more villains in the Nolanverse before it ended. Bruce Willis could have been a great Mr. Freeze if he played a more subdued villain like he did in The Jackal and Looper. IIRC he was even on the shortlist for the character when Arnold got the role. He would have been wasted in that movie obviously.

I'm only laughing in the outside.
My smile is just skin deep.
If you could see inside I'm really crying,
You might join me for a weep!
