It's actually an interesting story. The original artist on the All-Star Comics reboot in the early 70's, Wally Wood designed her with breasts no bigger than any other character at the time (although the chest opening definitely accentuated the area). But he would increase her chest size every issue to see when an editor would notice and finally say to knock it off. This lasted about eight issues, and the large chest has been an inside joke/selling point ever since.
I'm looking at the cover on the wall of my office at work right now! (CGC 9.0 copy by the way)

That's awesome. The earliest version I was familiar with were the Showcase issues. She was fairly impressive, but didn't have the window, and they weren't impossibly huge.

I just saw this on *cough* "another statue forum" *cough*, and it's at least new news about this piece finally
Q-"What's the overall plan with the Wonder Woman PF? We were given five sketches at San Diego 2011 that fans thought were possibilities for her design, but nothing was ever confirmed about them. We then saw a more traditional art piece released that didn't look like any of the five sketches we got before, but again we weren't told what it was for.
I know SS is holding her back and are gonna make her a big reveal, so I'm just wondering where she is in development at this moment. Has her design been decided upon? Was it any of the five sketches or single art piece? Has she been sculpted yet? Does SS have a specific date for her reveal planned, or is she still being worked on and we'll get the reveal as soon as she's finished?

A-Design was decided on a while ago and she is indeed sculpted. Annnnnd....that's all I can say.

..... It's just weird seeing ww date superman. I own the comic but never read it. I thought it was just a one time fling or a kiss good bye. But wow, I'm very surprise ww is already sculpted. Now that is huge news! I wonder who sculpted is? Hope it's not a rookie sculpting my favorite character. This is great! Finally some real news on ww in this thread!!!!
