Re: Wonder Woman for late 2013

Thank god SSC didn't make her with ginormous breasts x_x!! Save those for Power Girl.

Indeed. I'm glad they made a more sensible figure here. They gotta go all out on the fan service with Power Girl though. She needs to make Poison Ivy look modest in comparison.

Re: Wonder Woman for late 2013

All that hype and yet Sideshow still delivered far and beyond. This is a very impressive piece. I'm selling my Batman and cancelled Superman. I might still preorder Wonder Woman though. Maybe I can find some decent comics of her to help convince me. Outside of her New 52 run I just haven't been impressed much by her.

Oh and she's going to look killer next to Red Sonja.

I cancelled Bats just imo cuz I feel they made way too many of him. Also I would prefer a different PF of him with the yellow and blue and grey comic-style with lower ES. No regrets on cancelling my Bats Ex. Have been tempted to cancel Supes for the same reason but haven't yet. Wonder Woman looks great but I'm tired of import fees and QC so I may sit on POing her or buy a Reg one day far down the line. The ES will be at least 5000 so no rush at all. Sideshow did a great job on the proto though--she's perfect imo.

Facial features are a little strong, with the wrong paint job there is a possibility of her looking rather manish...I still am very excited for this one and can not wait..And you can never have too much boobage the more the better!

Try the Greg Rucka run, it includes:
Down to Earth
Bitter Rivals
Eyes of the Gorgon
Land of the Dead
Missons End

He also did the stand alone Story, The Hiketiea, which was good.

Re: Wonder Woman for late 2013

The EX is the shield. It says it on the artwork.

These pics were posted in the other Forum, they're not my screen grabs.

However, the artwork shows her holding a shield by the straps with her hand, and the description actually says swap out HAND with shield. The piece shows her armed with the shield. I wonder if this was a change once sculpted and the final EX is the shield slides up her arm, or if there's 3 display options (hand, hand holding shield, shield to put on arm)?

The ex in the drawing shows it more like holding the strap od the shield but on the production video picks looks like its attached to her forearm I wonder how they do a swap out of the arm without a seem?

I am generally not one for female characters but I may consider this one. Either way it looks to be truly amazing.

me too i never buy female characters however this may be my first just cause i like the way it looks, it look tough and athletic most of the female charactor are slutty just not for me so this may be my first female statue

Re: Wonder Woman for late 2013

She does look nice so far imo. Glad to see her face is not a rehash of what we've seen in their latest Marvel-DC female pieces.

She looks great. I'm glad to see they included her invisible plane.

Heh heh. :)

And yeah, this'll be $399.99, to match up with the other members of the Trinity...

She could be $425 by the time she gets PO'd.

This statue looks fantastic. It looks to be almost if not completly sculpted. I'm so happy they didn't dress her in cloth.

Her 'bodice' could very well be some kind of pleather material. And I wouldn't rule out cloth panties, either. We'll see. :)

I will PO this once it comes out but won't expect much lately from SS. Ivy looked so good until the production piece was shown. I am worried mostly about the face and the eye once we see the actual production.

Absolutely. Both the Storm and Poison Ivy PFs were looking straight ahead, which I thought would spare us Sideshow's proverbial difficulties to convincingly portray people looking either to their left or right with their final product.

And yet, while Storm came out right, they still managed to make about 85% of the Ivy PFs look stupidly googly-eyed to some degree.

So, Sideshow, if you're listening, please have WW painted by the factory that the Storm PF was assigned to. Please, please, please, have her look straight ahead with both eyes. Even if her left eye is only slightly looking to her left and her right eye is only slightly looking to her right, she will look idiotic.

The seam is probably behind the strap.

The magnet it most likely at the top of her bracelet, and the strap just slides on.

The shield might have cloth straps similar to Deadpool's leg straps. His straps are on the legs but they can definitely be slid off. If the shield straps are cloth the hand can come off, slide the shield on her arm, put her hand on.

If that's the case, just as I questioned 11 pages or so ago in my original post, I'm wondering if there's a 3rd switch out option with her holding the shield like in the pic I posted this morning. I'd like both display options with the shield. With the slight grin and spear, holding the shield strap gives a cool "I just kicked @$$" vibe.
