Received my Wonder Woman EX yesterday and I'm happy to say that she's pretty good. Not perfect, but nothing too bad. Just a little sloppy paint around the hand that holds the spear and a couple of painted over small nicks on the shield. She fit together fairly easy also.

of all of the statue SS has produced over the past 3 to 4 years, what would you say has been worse from a qc perspective? I guess an argument could be made for apoc or spiderwoman?

I would say Spider-Woman.

And I agree, there are lots of good ones (heck I got one too except for a minor issue with the hair) BUT, there is a disproportionate number of bad ones compared to anything else SS is shipping out. Despite us being a small minority, I can click on any other thread (keaton batman, the hulks, superman, and even sinestro to name a few) and I will not see anything close to what is going on here...

Considering the size of the ES, it isn't surprising to me that a large number of statues had issues.

I do not care about ES. ES means nothing to me. Having said that, an argument against large ES can be made to (hopefully) improve QA issues.

The QC issues on this seem to be awful. Im hoping I here from Sideshow about what they are going to do with my issues, I do not really want to return here because she just looks so good

If anyone is receiving a new spear hand and can part with their broken spear hand please message me! Thanks!

I got this statue last night, and mine had very few issues on first inspection! A few scuffs on the back side of the shield (that you can't really see on display), a small gap between the shield hand and arm once installed, and a couple of minor marks in relatively inconspicuous places. Looks like I'm 4 for 4 with DC PFs coming in with no real issues (Joker, Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman). And I'm probably done with DC PFs, so. . . :rock

BTW, very nice statue. Obviously, you're not getting the best paint apps in the world with an SSC statue, but they're pretty good. Gorgeous sculpt. My daughter loves it, and has claimed it as her own.

Those statues didn't have 9000 made, so odds are the QC issues will be higher with WW (maybe not percentage wise but number wise).... I know Supes has a similar Edition Size as WW but 90% of that statue is covered in cloth so it's easier to hide any issues with the statue vs a 100% painted one...

fair points. It does seem that the non-mixed media statues are having more issues.

I wrote to them to get a refund. I can't use this when the vertical arm which cannot defy gravity wants to fall out. I am of course very disappointed, but what is not meant to be needs to be accepted. i hope the rest of you that are still getting yours has much better luck.

There are also a multitude of other issues, poor paint apps etc, the bracelets appear to have been sanded down, scratch marks are very apparent, i'm quite disappointed as this is the statue that made me interested in PF in the first place. Sorry for the crappy photos.

I just requested a refund aswell, and i agree it just wasn't meant to be :(

Does anyone know if there is a magnet there? Seems like there should be, but I had to use some force to get it in there, and so it seems to be staying in due purely to the tightness of the joint. Which seems weird and wrong, as it creates more opportunities for the hand to fall out, but also forces you to create some wear inside the joint.

No magnets just a friction joint, i'm sure it was designed to be a tight fit to maintain connection. Though overtime or if you like to swap parts it will wear the joint out.

Wow! It's looks like it's feast or famine with these statues. I wonder if it has to do with the batch they came from. I got 1781 and it's near prefect.

Yea, I think there are more good than bad but most of them have some tiny QC issues regardless. I consider mine to be really damn good but it has a couple minor issues like the right foot not fitting all the way into the base. To me, not a big deal as you can hardly see it. If you get a bad one though, it seems pretty disastrous...

Looking at some of the old wonder woman prototypes i would be willing to pay over 700$, plus shipping, magnets and polystone with good QC and packaging. Lower the total number of statues to around 2000-2500pc

Also i personally liked ww without the gold lining down the center of her abdomen.

I would prob do that too but it's not gonna happen. Although SSC will def keep raising prices, I dont see the QC problems or the high ESs going away. That's what XM is for:rotfl. Honestly, I will just be WAY more picky about what I buy because there are just so many headaches to deal with SSC QC. But when they do a nice piece, it can really shine. I got a great WW so I consider myself lucky that I have this EX in my collection.

I'm still waiting to hear back on the status of my claim, been a week since I sent the pics. How long does it normally take?

Yeah it does take several days in my experience. I suspect the WW is taking a lot of their time trying to settle all the claims they must be getting. They can add mine and crimsinwing1989 to the list.
