Finally sucked it up and opened mine today. After some of the posts here I was really sweating it, but I must be living right because this girl is finnnne. I didn't see any paint flaws and stopped looking for them. Axe hand fit like it was meant to go there, huge sigh of relief. Spear hand took lots of patience to get the pin started, but then went on fine after that. worst thing is the hair fits pretty loose, but it looks fine so I'm good. No, I'm great actually. Hey Grphyx1- please tell me those glass cabinets in the background are discussed in a thread somewhere.

Hey duckman as others have said they are ikea detolfs, beech color. I also have them in ebony.

They are actually beach colored detolfs. You can pick them up from Ikea. They come in 3 colors I believe (beach, white, and black). I have 6 of the beach colored ones. They are FABULOUS for 1/6 or smaller pieces. I wouldn't use them for 1/4 scale pieces though. That's a lot of weight to put on a glass shelf.

I have 5 black detolfs all with PFs and they work great. The glass holds WAY more than advertised though I keep lighter ones in the middle to be safe. They are also quite solid on top which is where I put my trinity, hulk maquette, and Keaton bats PF. I've have PFs in detolfs for a few years now and zero issues.

what size plate holder did you get?

I used the next size up from the smallest. I tried both the smallest and the next size up. I decided to go for the next size up because it was much more stable and the size really fits perfect. I can't see the plate holder at all except 2 tiny tips on the side. The bigger fits perfectly to the top of the shield with nothing showing.

Also just checked ebay and the last brand new PF WW just ended from a authorized sideshow dealer for 362.00. That's a good deal!

I think havig a beer in the room is one a top list of things to do in life... Great PF MAN and ur collection from what I can see looks supppperrrrrr

jofiguer, the media room is definitely the spot we spend a lot of time in. and yes sometimes alcohol is involved:chug We love all the pieces we have in our collection for sure.

Thanks, defiantly going to give ikea a hard look. That's an impressive room!

thank you duckman, we have finally maxed out the amount of cabinets we aesthetically appreciate in that room. and Wonder Woman now sits in a prime spot. Love her for the longest time.

Really like the plate holder idea for the shield. Will definitely have to look for one the next time I visit my local arts & crafts store. Awesome looking display room too, gryphx1.

Thank you valkyrie. The plate holder works perfectly for this statue. I really hate having switch out parts that I have to dig the box out to get to. It's amazing how fast boxes and junk will pile up in your storage area

Detolfs work fine as long as they're assembled right

Yeah, I'm still pretty new to SS pieces but I'm beginning to learn that quickly. I already have switch out parts lying around for Keaton, Mignola Hellboy, CW, WW, and pretty soon, Comics Batman. I was thinking of trying to find or build a padded container of some kind for all these extra parts. It's just a hassle having to dig out their boxes like you said.

I keep all of my swap out pieces wrapped in the paper they come in and then ziplock baggy them. Then I place all of them neatly in shoe boxes with some extra cloth padding if necessary.

That's a good idea and it sounds simple enough. Thanks!

I notice that reaper you have in the backgroup he's a masterpiece !!! Yeah love walking into a room that you have nothing but items you cant stop looking at is what's its all about....

I ended up putting plastic floor tiles, I just got white ones and cut them to the glass size then stuck them on and then placed mirror film. I did the tiles Cuz I was worried the glass was to thin and will break, but then it looked ugly so I added mirror film that my friend had, it worked really good, if ur going to do this just remember that U can see the black sticky stuff on the other side of the glass so mirror both sides,, Later this year im going to go to IKEA and get more detolfs displays but this time I'm going to mirror the back glass as well, This will be my court line display...

Nice, I remember reading a thread here were a user had all his spear parts in a cabinet with labels written on them to tell them apart.

I loved that idea.

I do something similar to store my swap out pieces too. However, I place to use a plate holder for my shield since it looks good when displayed in front of the statue.

nice job SSC. beside the slight grain of sand-size thing on the shield, everything is perfect as it gets. will take pics in the weekend but u guys already seen WW.

nice pics Smooth Criminal
