My lowdown on Enterbays latest Bruce Lee figure, and the good news is... it's another winner!
You can find it in the usual place over at Captain Toy.

Scary blast from the past!

I worked on that DVD sleeve!

Used to work for the Distributor (awful job) and we designed hundreds of Sleeves for many dodgy re-releases..

Got lots of free Sci-Fi / Horror films though! :naughty

I used to work asa designer and illustrator for company back in the mid to late 80's, two of our clients were Guild Home Video (they got pretty big and went on to distribute many Arnie films like T2).
The other was Medusa Home Video and they sound a lot like the company you worked for, most of their films were unbelievably bad... they did do C.H.U.D though!

Hi Wookster

It was Prism Leisure I worked for (Well actually I was working for their Advertising Agency, but we had an office on site where I spent most of my time.)

And yeah, A lot of stuff came through Medusa.

Your right most was dross! But Igot a copy of Rawhead Rex so I was happy! Low budget British horror, can't beat it!

I like the magnetic feature, If you want to reposition the eyes a lot it makes it much easier.

That looks like a great figure. I'll have to consider if I want one or not.

Cool Fig.Really like what Enterbay is doing.

Yeah, I like the aesthetic they go for, and although those heavy vinyl bodies aren't as posable as lighter ABS ones they look fantastic. I was really surprised by the Mr Bean figure, blew me away!

In your revew, you say that the feet now rotate. I'm not sure if you mean the hips or the actual feet here, but just for those who don't know it, even the BL 1 (the one with the first GOD) has rotating hips! I had read they could only point forward, so had never tried, but last week, I undressed him for the first time and thought that since the design was so close to the EB Bauer, then the hips should rotate too! I tried and it works perfectly! :D

Yeah, I didn't realize the hips could rotate till I got the FoF figure. The hips on my GoD figure are still so stiff I fear trying to force them could end in tragedy!
The mew BL3.5 is much better though. Not only did the hips move better and more freely but the ankles can now also spin and turn, the foot can still rock and point. Makes posing much easier. I had a 3.5 on order before I got Kato (was gonna swap it out... thought he was on the 3) so I'll do a mini photo review when it arrives.

I didn't like so much the headsculpt, but it is nice. For me the eyes are wide open.
In my opinion, Enterbay must fight for new (good) licenses.

I read it some time ago, fantastic review Wookster!
Although I have to say, I don't like it when you start splitting stars beyond 1/2. To me a rating should be a bit more generalized.

But damn do I want this figure!!! I wish he was $50 cheaper, at least then I might be able to buy one. :monkey2

Yeah I'm sorry about that, Michael is much better at sticking to the rules. I just find myself thinking on some things... well it's not a 3 1/2 star figure it's too good... but there is just enough of a an issue to snatch it from perfection... I oughta be harder but I'm weak, what can I say!

I can understand that. You're nowhere near as bad as some of the guest reviewers I read there from time to time. Like that guy who reviewed the Star Trek Hot Wheels Reliant recently, not only do I disagree with much he said but he got some details erroneously wrong; Only the upper portion of the saucer is Diecast metal, the bottom is plastic, and everyone knows that Diecast can't retain crisp detail all that well when compared to plastic. I'm just glad I bought the ship before I read the review otherwise I would've felt it was misleading.

If it wasn't for you and Michael, there would hardly be any new reviews on MWC, so keep up the good work! :D
I still want this damn Kato figure. :banghead
