No. Not even remotely close. Again, it goes beyond just your family and friends. You would live to see ALL of humanity and every living thing on this planet, solar system, galaxy obliterated. Everything in the entire universe, obliterated.
That's the thing people don't understand.
What you're talking about isn't certain. You
might outlive your family and friends. You
might not. You
might go first leaving behind your spouse and children. You
might not.
But if you were immortal there is no "might", you
would outlive every single thing in this entire universe. You
would see stars burn out and die. You
would be alone for the majority of your eternal life with absolutely nothing to do because at some point you
would outlive every celestial body in the entire universe. And at that point it would be just you and nothingness. For eons.
Then what?
