wow - i didn't think anyone else had seen this movie. it's called "dark angel" here. i used to love this movie when i was young, impressionable and stupid :lol still has some great scenes and a pretty cool idea behind it. gotta love dolph's run - he looks like he's wearing high heels on hot coals.

I come in peace.....

These characters being depicted as gay becuase of hetro hang ups and maculine insecurity.

If Leonidas (or He-man for that matter) is not your bag then fine, say it's not your bag.

I think this is very wise...

yeah, shame that the masters of the universe craze just died out. i can't remember the timeline exactly but i read somewhere that even by the time this movie came out, he-man was peetering out. so the chance of a sequel was kinda slim. i have high hopes for the new one. let's hope they do it justice. they will no doubt change he-man's background, but hopefully in a good way.

Yeah, sales had radically dropped over the course of the making of the movie. 1985-1986. Round about the same time as She-Ra came out so darw what you like from that.

Mattel freaked at this radical drop so pulled the budget on the movie.

Check out how big this movie was really gonna be:

I whacked this together in my spare time.
This is the tone of the new movie that I would love.

cool poster dude! i like it. seems to be true to the original idea of the books and show too. i always liked how creepy snake mountain actually was. even in the show, ok they toned it down for kids, but it still had that "eeebil" vibe.

i also heard that the story was moved to earth so they wouldn't have to spend a limited budget on lavish eternia sets. i remember that disappointed me even as a kid. i was fully expecting to see that varied and lavish world from the cartoon.

no doubt when it comes to announcing a direction for the new movie, we'll see the "we're going to return to the roots of he-man. it will be gritty, dark and realistic like batman begins" spiel that i'm sick of hearing from every talentless unoriginal cash-in schmohawk in hollywood
