Would you buy a Medicom Mola Ram? I know Medicom is many people's least favourite company, but their Indy figures aren't too bad (with the exception of the spindly bodies - but hell, at least the joints are reasonably tight). Since SSC seems to be slowly winding down the line do you hope Medicom continues it, or are you just going to be irritated by seeing a Mola Ram that's slightly shorter than an SSC Indy?

Personally I thought their Henry Jones Snr was excellent, and while I know they'd be low on my list of companies to continue the license at this stage I'll take anything.

Tho I havent get into the medi Indy line yet, Ihave to say it's highly doubtful medicom will cotinue with the line.

Medicom is notorious for releasing a few figures of a certain lisence and just stop at there.

People are making a large number of unfounded assumptions recently... Which is your prerogative-- I prefer not to kick like Bobby Brown (circa '91).

But then, that's my prerogative.

well, medicom is known for releasing v2 of their figures with numerous improvements. if that happens with their indy then I might. I am hoping short round is in the pipeline, their rah220 base body is perfect for him. (ie FMA ed and medi's rah220 kamen riders)

I used to think Medicom was pretty good when they released their Vaders. But based on their releases over the past year, they appear to be the weakest of all the 1/6 companies.

Henry Sr. and Mutt are excellent. But a Medi Mola would always be a place holder for an SSC Mola. And at $180, I don't see it happening for me at least.

I'd be interested in maybe a Shorty from Medicom.. considering their figures always run too short in scale to begin with...

Given that he's an oriental character I'm surprised Medi hasn't done him - I bet he'd sell great both in Asia and to collectors over here, who generally love the character.

If Medicom's young Indy keep the prototype quality, I'll definetly buy it...It would be a great tribute to River Phoenix.
With Sideshow ruining our dreams with the Indy line, I'll get whatever shows up (that has QUALITY) .

If young Indy turns out looking good I might buy Medicom's Indy as a stand in for the guy from the start of the LC, who gives young Indy the hat.

I'll only buy Medi if A) the price is right and B) the figure is actually worth it. I've been lucky to score Henry Jones Sr. for $100, KOTCS Indy for $125, and most recently Mutt Williams for $100... There's no way I'll pay $150+ for these though.

No one likes the young Indy (River Phoenix)? I think it's amazing especially the head sculpt.

I think Young Indy looks great! It's a great likeness and a great costume (except for the boots).

Also, the Henry Jones fig was great! A repaint by Kuato made it stellar.

I really don't get all the Medi bashing. All the companies have their weaknesses (yes, even Hot Toys). But you have to look at a company as a whole; not just a couple of figures you may not like. No one can touch Medicom's tokusatsu characters. I'm really surprised when they get left off of people's best of 2009 lists. Their Ultra and Kamen Rider lines are incredible!
