Maybe some of you have realized this, maybe some haven't. So I'll throw it out there for those who haven't.

These are 100% NUDE statues. Recasted yes. But not straight recasts. That's the customization. The weird "shiny" bikini parts/clothing you see are only there for photo purposes (since most sites like EBay don't allow nudity). Again, maybe some of you already got that.. but reading over some of the comments I got the feeling this aspect was missed. And yes even the Slave Lei is completely nude (all the clothing parts remove). And yes all the naughty bits are fully conceived and painted up (in the second pic for Buffy you can just barely see pubes). Lot of pervs out there obviously, because I doubt someone would make so many of these things if there wasn't demand. :lol

Yeah, we got it. Just makes it worse and even more purient.

Oh I got that alright, but why this re casting idiot is deciding to ignore what the real characters bodies where actually like, and give them huge ****s is anybody's guess.

To me at least they look grotesque.

He probably figures that gigantic ******* will sell better than regular ones. Since he seems to do a lot of them, I figure I'll defer to his judgement on this one. These are hilarious though, I'm cracking up looking at his webpage. Think I'll do a website feature about it at some point.

It's so nice that we can be accepting and nice about other people's taste, and give contructivbe critique. *sarcasm*

That very other post insults people who likes big ****s (which includes me) and unrealistic statues is very tiring and depressing to read.

Okay hon, what about being insulting to women such as SMG and AH who actually aren't built like inflatable dolls? And without their consent have had these awful rip offs made of them?

Are some men so desperate that they need to stick giant racks on every character they see? Even If said character doesn't look like that? God If they do what a depressing state of affairs that is. Yes, folks can enjoy large breasts, but for heavens sake put them on characters that have them in the first place. On tiny frames such as SMG and AH it looks incredibly silly imo.

To say nothing of the fact this seller doesn't deserve any consideration as he's a blatant rip off artist.

The right and wrongs of the unofficial customizing is another discussion entirely. I can't decide if what this seller is doing is morally right or not.

I'm talking about the attitude in this thread. You're all entitled to your opinions, but it does get nagging. And mean.

I could be taking it personally since a part of me wanted to buy it (but I wouldn't want SMG or anyone who knows her know that I bought it, because you are right, a work like this should have the approval from SMG). So when everyone goes on and on about what a moron this guy is, and how tasteless it is, I take it personally.

Like I said, you all have the right to your opinions, it's not like I think this company isn't taking liberties with other people's property, but I've never liked coming to threads and read shameless insulting. I know I don't set the ethical rules on this forum, I'm not demanding you all to act better, I'm just expressing my thoughts on your behavior (which is a somewhat rude of me, I admit).

You take it personally if this rip off artist is insulted? :lol:lol:lol

And you cannot decide if stealing someones hard work and making a profit from it is morally right? :rotfl:rotfl:rotfl

You sir, crack me up. I salute you.

I said that I take it personally because I kinda like this statue, even tough it looks silly. So when everyone says the statue is horrible, you're saying my taste is horrible. That's partly why I don't like the insults.

But yeah, I don't think it's good fun to insults people either.

And since I own several customs, and I have made some myself, I can't really say that this company is doing something wrong without questioning myself. But in general, re-casting is bad. Making customs from parts, without re-casting, is more defendable. It got nothing to do with big ****s, massproducing is just bad. That I'm clear on.

I can't say that the ****s are a problem tough. They're unrealistic, but I'm fine with that. But the point sueworld brought up, about the actors being offended about being portayed that way, is something I agree on. So I'm unsettled on some moral matters.

Glad that you had fun tough. That's always a good thing :)

Yes, he does me too. :lol

Skytteflickan88 maybe when you've spent more time on boards such as this one you'll realise had badly recasting is looked upon.

Idiots recasting other peoples work and selling it onto unsuspecting buyers is a growing problem out there in the collectors market, and so anyone found doing such a thing is reported asap, and hopefully as in this case of this fraudster taken down.

Oh well, I guess I've been laughed at for worse things than being ignorant and too nice to strangers.

I've only hung out at one board similar to this and it's btvsfigsforum. Re-casting is often done there, which seems a bit iffy, since they used someone else's work without paying for it, but it never really seemed to be an issue there.

Btw, I'm a girl. Not a big deal, but I want a excuse in case I'm short with you guys once a month.

The customs done on BtvsFigs are different in that they're doing them for their own enjoyment for private use.

Yes, sometimes they may take a private commission to make one for someone, or end up selling a couple of their works as one off's on eBay, but this bloke is obvioulsy trying to sell these professionally. They don't appear to be one offs, and their initial reason for creating them seems to be to make a profit.

And thats breaking the law.
