Great... Now where am I gonna go?
Good waiters like us will always be able to find work.

It's not over.
Writers don't even know the terms of the tentative agreement nor have they voted on it... there is a big meeting tomorrow with WGA members to discuss all this so to presume anything is premature...
My guess is the 17 promo window may still be a sticking point. Plus, if SAG doesn't like it, most likely Writers will wait for a better deal.
Everyone chill...
Eisner is being blasted in the blogs...

with nothing on t.v. i've come to realize i can live without weekly shows. things around the house suddenly get done and I go to bed a lot earlier. i think i'll be a better person if this continues.
Yes, Michael Eisner is the one guy to listen to.
Read Joss Whedon's post here:https://unitedhollywood.blogspot.com/2008/0...djust-your.html Read the comments as well.
It's just propaganda from AMPTP to get peoples hopes up, because if the deal is not good, they'll expect(want) a backlash against the WGA. The precious Oscar is in jeopardy now. It's very strange that the minor studios find the WGA's terms acceptable but not the big ones who can really afford it.
YOu can go to IrishJedi's parts; heard plenty of A-Listers will be there
How did I miss this post
Over these three difficult months, we shut down production of nearly all scripted content in TV and film and had a serious impact on the business of our employers in ways they did not expect and were hard pressed to deflect. Nevertheless, an ongoing struggle against seven, multinational media conglomerates, no matter how successful, is exhausting, taking an enormous personal toll on our members and countless others. As such, we believe that continuing to strike now will not bring sufficient gains to outweigh the potential risks and that the time has come to accept this contract and settle the strike.
pjam, IF the strike is over. When can we expect LOST to come back on (after these 8 episodes) and 24 ???
thanks.
Even if they are able to get some scripts ready, they can't really push production into the summer, can they?
The cast and crew need a break.
