Re: X-23 Comiquette

Looks impressive to me.

Re: X-23 Comiquette

Man, she does absolutely nothing for me....

She doesn't even exist in my list of future purchases nor will she ever be put on that list.

Yes she looks....cute and sexy all rolled up into one sculpture but heroic....hardly!

She looks like she's getting ready to go skiing at the matrix party at the playboy mansion and those claws are her boot tightners.....

Her costume is...well....just nothing exciting or cool looking. Oh loooook, a black bra.......

She looks like any high school kid, not a superhero.

Hardly inspiring.

YAWN.....

Re: X-23 Comiquette

I love her pose!! I'd consider getting this once we see it for sale on the site. Either way, I'd love to see a DEADPOOL PF!!!!

Re: X-23 Comiquette

Simple marketing 101 at work. If Sideshow does all the main characters first and then starts on obscure, there will be a lot of people who will stick with main guys only. But by producing obscure characters first, they lure people in who might not be otherwise interested in these characters. Just look at the whole Hot Toys Predator soap opera...

Re: X-23 Comiquette

That strategy only works on lower ticket items. While expensive its easier to so that with a $150 figure than a $300 Comiquette. If the price is low on this it'll work, if its higher then it'll backfire.

Nice!

I wonder if there will be an exclusive?

Probably a belt like Mystique. :lol

Re: X-23 Comiquette

Obscure? You guys go on the Marvel section and don't even know this character? :lol

Interesting that you make that comment. There has been a lot of argument amongst fanboys about what exactly makes for an obscure character. Some claim that anything back in the Silver Age where you had a ton of one shot villains who appeared and didn't reappear until the Bronze or later are obscure. Some claim the Bronze age itself is filled with obscure. Other says that the Modern Age is completely obscure because of the all the changing around in character origin. It'll be interesting to see where collectors stand next week on ordering day.

Re: X-23 Comiquette

For the younger comic fans maybe. Its an ok statue.

Re: X-23 Comiquette

Not sure if you noticed the Necklace in the video, but one shot it is not there and its not there in the stills. I believe that her necklace is most likely the EX.

:duh

thanks to the original poster for these pics.

X-23 is far from being obscure. She has her own X-23 and NYX comic book out. She is on the X-Force comic book, which I think is really good. She has been on Uncanny X-men where she wears her jungle outfit. SHe was on Messiah complex, which I think is a great read as well. etc.... Again, far from obscure, from an avid comic book reader at least.

Re: X-23 Comiquette

I don't disagree with you that she isn't important or heavily featured but one could say the same for Eric O' Grady Ant-Man who was involved in big crossovers, been shown in Avengers comics as well as a couple of others and has had two books Irredeemable Ant-Man and The Mighty Ant-Man already. I would argue that he is obscure from your general Marvel fan.

Obscurity doesn't become a non issue if the character is in heavy usage although it is a defining factor in keeping them out of that category it more is about whether or not a casual Marvel fan who picks up books on occassion but knows the characters would be able to pinpoint them. Characters like Draken for example are being heavily used but your casual Marvel fan wouldn't know him. What really defines a character is if they are more than just a flash in the pan kind of thing.

I would concede that X-23 is NOT obscure but I would have to agree with a comment a few pages back that she is definitely not well known and a left field selection for a piece of this pricepoint ballpark.

Re: X-23 Comiquette

She sounds like a sports drink!

I'm c'mon, of ALL the freaking characters within their roster and might I add that "most" Marvel and SS fan are begging for...

We get a sports drink!

This has nothing to do with the quality of the product, we all already accept the fact that SS will produce her within their standards of high quality.

My rant is only about their choice.

Thank you
