Re: (Possible) X-FORCE Movie announcement at SDCC 2013

Could be interesting. i would Love to see them do Rick Remender's run, but it's impossible, as they have yet to introduce Apocalypse in 4 movies and counting. Which means Archangel can't be on the team.

Re: (Possible) X-FORCE Movie announcement at SDCC 2013

They could just not reveal how he became blue and metal winged, like how Hawkeye and Black Widow didn't have a setup for where they are now or how Mystique got involved with Magneto (at the time it wasn't revealed).

But then how do you explain his Death persona? Or the fact that Angel and Archangel are really 2 different identities. Don't get me wrong, I love the character. i hated the way he was really just shoehorned into X3 for the trailers.

I will say this, if they use eith team with Logan on it(and we knowthey will) I hope FOX grows up and lets him be Logan. Take the nerf gloves off. Except that your character is a guy prone to animalistic rages and he has chef's knives coming out of his hands. And he leads a kill squad(depending on the run) on Cyclop's orders. I want to see this though.

Re: (Possible) X-FORCE Movie announcement at SDCC 2013

That would be awesome :hi5:

But there'll never be an R-Rated X-Men or Wolverine or Punisher or Blade movie again.

There's more money for (all) studios in making them accessible to a wider audience.

Can't wait to see Domino and hopefully Psylocke

This has always been the case and yet we have seen R-rated Punisher and Blade films. I don't see why this couldn't happen again. There are some licenses that just don't lend themselves to being made available to wide audiences. If del Toro does the "Dark" Justice League he wants to in the right way then it could very possibly be R territory.

Re: (Possible) X-FORCE Movie announcement at SDCC 2013

will it be Modern X-Force or old X-Force?

Re: (Possible) X-FORCE Movie announcement at SDCC 2013

X-23!?........

Man of Steel, Pacific Rim, and a few others have shown that you can push PG-13. My big complaint is that they in both the films and the comics lately seem to have forgotten why Logan was so popular. Yes, the Samurai bits were great. But he's not the head of a school. He was the guy you called in when **** needed to be done. He may have been conflicted about some of it, but he knew his place. Now he's almost character. They are trying to make him a superhero like Spiderman, and he's not. He's at best a soldier like Cap. He'll do what's necessary.

I want to see Fantomex, Domino, Psylocke, Warpath too. :hi5:

Re: (Possible) X-FORCE Movie announcement at SDCC 2013

I find the whole rating thing odd.

It's allowed show a man getting stabbed, getting decapitated or getting his torso blown away, but you can't see the blood or internal organs because that makes it too violent :dunno

Funny MPAA rule, as long as it is not red, even if it is blood. You can show as much as you want and not get dinged.

Re: (Possible) X-FORCE Movie announcement at SDCC 2013

Seems an unnecessary censorship, the audience sees the act or killing/murder in all it violence and rage, but is denied the consequence shot of the fluids, which is no more gruesome that what they've been shown.

One Word... Avengers. That movie made over a billion dollar largely in part because people could take their kids and teenagers could go see it.

After making so much at that rating i doubt Marvel, Fox or Sony will go R again :(

DC is a different animal entirely, they seem more ballsy.

will it be Modern X-Force or old X-Force?

Unknown right now, but i'd bet Modern as they'd have to setup up Cable.

I think you could do Cable. Use him to setup Apocalypse. Have him come back in time setting up X-Force with Logan in order to try to prevent Apocalypse from rising to power. Have him be vaware of his birth, but very secretive, because he doesn't want to risk screwing up his own history.

Very nice, was just commenting the other day in the X thread that they needed to branch out, can't wait to see what lineup they decide to go with.

^ Miramax, a subsidiary targetting adult demographics. Mainstream comic books movies (with underwear, toys, inflatable swimming devices merchandise) are aimed at kids and teens.

It's the most constistently popular and biggest selling Marvel Comics property

Has spawned a franchise of movies spanning 13 years that elevated the Marvel superhero sub-genre into blockbuster territory thus paving the way for other studios to adapt Marvel characters to the bigscreen.

The movies tell a collection of stories set between the 1800s through to present day.
