If Joe Manganiello wasn't already playing Deathstroke in the DCEU, I think he'd make a perfect Gladiator.

Chastain and him would be awesome together.

yea well I've never seen so much blind fanboyism in a post. " dur you don't like the direction of a movie? Well you must be an mcu fanboy den. Ayuck ".

Also talk to your boy snikt about contradictory.

Blind fanboy yet I've said this movie is doomed :lol

I give up :lol

Isn't the rumor that he's no longer on the Batman film since they've pretty much scrapped everything.

Stating I'm a mcu fan cause I don't like the direction fox is taking. Yea fanboy. I'm not gonna derail the thread any further. Think whatever you want. Kinda weird tho .

We haven't had a memorable villain from xmen in like ever.
Mmm. I only remember MagKellen and Sebastian Bacon.
Isaacalypse was actually memorable and had potential... but looked goofy and went full retard in the third act.

i remember him

Fassneto is an anti-villain.
William Wallace's dad was a more memorable villain in "Troy".

I think In DOFP Fassneto is a full on villain, but he's definitely an anti villain in the other two movies.

Stryker was one of the most fleshed out, threatening villains in a superhero movie though. Unlike Apocalypse they really do explain his motivation for everything, and he nearly executes his plan by using his own son to wipe out every mutant in the world. Plus Brian Cox's performance was great.

I thought Shaw was fine, but wasn't fleshed out enough, he was a cool mustache twirling villain for like an old Bond film which I'm sure Vaughn was sort of inspired by.

Cox is great in everything he does so naturally his performance as Stryker was a highlight of the film. He even sold the girly little blown kiss he did when Mystique was supposedly impersonating him. Unfortunately they had him go out with that stupid chain draped dorkily across his face as if Logan had painstakingly set it there gently and Stryker refused to just twist his head a bit to get it off. That was his death by grass moment.
