Logan should have been the cap of this franchise.

Say what you want about Bryan Singer (though most of the negativity toward him is unsubstantiated hearsay), the guy knows movies pretty damn well, and I would be a lot more interested if he were still the primary creative force.

Ummm, he did do Days of Future Past AND Apocalypse, both of those were pretty lame.

X2 was pretty good, but realistically, dude has been coasting off The Usual Suspects for 30 years now. I give him a lot of credit for bringing X-Men to the screen, but I don't think he's been that great.

It's arguably the best Fox Men film along with Logan. Actually, DOFP and Logan are the best reviewed films in the series.

I never loved it myself. Its full of plot holes, put the focus way too much on Wolverine and Mystique just because of their star status, and kind of forces the characters where you need them to go for the plot rather than developing them naturally. It was the beginning of all the things that went really really wrong in X-Men Apocalypse.

To each their own, but I've liked all of his X-movies. Apocalypse wasn't great, but I liked it more than most. Like others here, I thought DOFP was awesome, and I feel X2 was the best in the franchise, and is still one of the best superhero movies ever. I also like several of his other movies. But my primary argument is that he's got a lot of experience making movies and now we're getting a director with no directing experience at all.

I didn’t get the love for dofp either. If you love wolverine and mystique the movie that’s great, and crap sentinial designs, horrible costumes, horrible effects and xmen pushed back as cameos then cool.

I only really liked xmen 1 and 2 and Logan . The rest were wolverine or mystique the movie.

First class was ok but that’s not the ****ing first class. Cyclops, Beast, angel, jean, and iceman were the first class. That would of made for a much better movie than young Xavier and magneto movie.

I’m glad the fox era is over and now we can see an actual team dynamic with these characters instead of focusing on one freaking character or 3. Avengers did an awesome job at doing this.

Loved DOFP. Probably the most fun X-movie to rewatch. Logan is definitely king though.

Logan, DOFP. and XFC are the cream of the crop for me. X1 and X2 are fun for nostalgia but not particularly great in and of themselves IMO.

'Logan' is a film all its own. I don't even lump it in with the X-Men cartoons.

I didn't really care for Logan that much either. I don't get all the love it gets. It's ok. They tried to make a serious comic book movie I guess. And a last attempt to actually see Wolverine cut loose. But against generic baddies and another Wolverine clone. So original.
