I got goosebumps at the ending when Logan woke up and walked around the school. The film did its job.

By the way chaps, does anyone remember hearing this track at any point for Magneto? I thought maybe I did briefly but not sure.

Sorry man, but us loyal fans earned the right to rub it in a little after all the bashing going on in here all these months. Imagine what this thread would look like if this movie bombed?

Now piss off and let me and Lar poke some fun haha

You can do as you please, everyones overwhelmingly positive, doesn't surprise me a bit that this is your reaction.

I believe I did but I can't recall which scene. Might have been when he went to retrieve his helmet.

The ending gave me chills, I had a big grin on my face the whole time. Everyone time an older cast member popped up at the end my theater cheered. One of the best movie going experiences of my life.

I loved the music. I think the most surprising thing to come out of this movie is that I now associate a Roberta Flack love song with Wolverine.:lol

You and me both, brother. You and me both. :lol :monkey2

Right after I posted that I thought, 'does anyone even remember that?' :lol

I am curious so he brings them back and then ? Are they planning on using them again recast them as their younger selves. I think they were mainly used to recon the franchise after the events of x men 3.

I don't think you will ever see these characters again.

Someone else had a inception vibe during the end of the movie ?

(during the scenes in the two timelines and the wake up of wolverine?!)

I mean, it made me think a little bit about it, in a good way! Not like a rip off or whatever! I was maybe in the same mood! :)

From some interviews last week, I think Fox will be developing movies with them still in conjunction with the new, younger cast. Fox is trying build a universe like Marvel, I’m almost sure we’ll see them again.

Patrick Stewart already hinted at being contacted to return in a secret project, and one of the producers saids they have a feeling that another movie with the older cast is likely.

Yea I was thinking the same thing.

I thought Hanz made a cameo track for a quick second while watching that scene :lol

If they didn't already set up Apocalypse as the villain in the next one, I would buy the hell out of this as a sort of "wish fulfillment" ending for Wolverine, and the actual timeline being a darker, House of M style Magnetonarchy.

I would want to see that :D

Also, maybe I'm in the minority, but, while stuff like Iceman's Andrew Dice Clay vest was ****ing appalling, I could actually dig it if all of the X-Men had variations of the suit Wolverine wore; I thought that was a pretty badass costume. Hell, it could even work with some more comic accurate colors, I think.

James McAvoy has been jokingly vocal, if not a little bias, on the debate who would win in a fight between The Avengers and The X-Men. Whilst promoting the latest installment in the X-Men franchise, McAvoy again weighs in on the debate.
"I would like to see us fight them, though. I'd like us not to team up," I'd like to see us fight them and, you know, annihilate them, as we surely would. "Be like, 'Hey, Robert Downey. Oh, here you go. There's your ass.' 'Sorry, I've got a bunch of asses in my hand. I think they belong to you Avengers?'"

Wow, I'd be impressed if they pulled that off successfully, running the entire franchise from the perspectives of two points in time, younger and older versions of the same characters. Hopefully if they do that they take continuity more seriously and don't **** anything up again.

And imagine if they actually redeemed themselves in the treatment of Marden's Cyclops....

Non-jokingly, the X-Men could probably take The Avengers. Outside of Thor and Hulk, everybody's pretty much human. Cap's a "super-soldier," yeah, but he's essentially just a human at Batman levels of physicality. With that being said, though, to hell with them fighting; I'd want to see them team up.

I just had this thought the other day. Imagine if you had a movie every year.

2016: Apocalypse

2017: A more off the wall project like Deadpool or X-Force

2018: Another movie with the OG cast

2019: Another standalone

2020: Filling in the 1973-2014 gaps with the FC cast

I could dig it.

I'd love that, would be really cool if they could keep both teams going. Maybe get them on a rotation basis each summer.Tbh as much as I liked The Wolverine, I'd rather see them concentrate on the teams.
