Excellent film. Wasn't as action packed as I assumed it would be and yet even the 'dull' moments were thoroughly engrossing because of the characters and performances. Bravo to all involved.

Must ask though, due to unanticipated road traffic I was late to the showing, I came in during the opening credits. Was there anything before those?

There was nothing before that your good.

The SS Freaks expert film critics told me this movie was going to suck, blow, be terrible, awful and horrible all at the same time.

What happened. :dunno

Ah thanks. I thought perhaps I missed an explanation of how Xavier got his body back after the events of X3 and how Wolverine got his adamantium claws back after having them chopped off in The Wolverine. So they've kinda left those things up in the air.

It had its moments but overall not what I was expecting. Did they really need to bring back Jean and Scott I like that they died off in the last stand plus that lead in to the wolverine which I think is still a better movie then this.

Just the DNA/cell division montage transitioning into a trippy Transformers The Movie circa 1986 like intro. I got goosebumps when that x-men theme started playing. The mutant that was scavenging may or may not have been
Nate.

So glad to hear this. I liked Famke as Jean, and especially liked Marsden as Scott. I hope he'll have a more prominent role in the next film.

Some ***** looking for a cookie and a pat on the back on a message board. How pathetic :lol

Never in a million years did I think that anything could top Cap, but this may very well be the best comic book movie I've seen this year.

Wow.
This is a proper film. Best 'superhero' movie outside of Nolan's Batman. There are no heroes and there are no villains here; underneath all the special effects and mutant superpowers is a timeless tale about humanity and our endless capacity to save us from ourselves.
Bravo Bryan Singer!
I can't wait to watch this again.

I've been staying away from this thread until I see the flick but I couldn't resist popping in to just see the general consensus. I skimmed looking for thumbs up posts without spoilers. These are perfect :lol

Good to hear. Can't wait

Why do they have to keep recycling these same characters let them mix it up bit . I like that fact that she died in that movie its a nice twist so now were does the movie go old cast or new ?

Why do they feel the need to include so many characters in a movie and people ***** about Batman v Superman what about this its a lot of mutants to many in my opinion.

They won't necessarily have any role. Their incarnations of the characters are alive again sure but that doesn't mean another film will be made using them.

Checkout the review thread, Nova just collected everyone's review scores into one post... looked pretty much 9 and 10 all the way

Was hoping that Singer would throw Cyke fans a bone. I knew the moment Logan walked through that door that he was going to get c**kblocked. :lol

I will say that Marsden hasn't aged as well compared to Huge Jackedman. Dude had veins popping out compared to X1 and X2.

I was going through and rereading my old posts (I do that sometimes) and I came across this gem.

Invictus says this:

It probably would be best if this movie is a massive bomb, FOX bails on the license and Marvel buys it back. Added bonus: Singer never works again. :D

...and I reply, but fail to quote him. Since there are several posts in between, the context is lost. Suffice it to say, I must have abandoned thread after making said post, so I couldn't clear it up:

Con: Hugh Jackman, Ian McKellan, and Patrixk Stewart are no longer involved. :monkey2

Then, everyone starts freaking out.:lol

What?????????

Friggin' Henrietta Handjob is what Batfan's being. Get's ya all worked up and then bails without spilling the juice. :lol

Figures. Haven't heard anything about those people bailing...

Unfortunately that's the nature of discussion boards now. Most fans use to be content knowing a superhero film was being made, a lot if that hate came from the blind Marvel fanboy crowd who only cared about comic book accuracy, and whether Wolverine was wearing a mask.

This movie was so good I feel like I can now say every time a new superhero movie from marvel is announced that I wish they would sell the rights to Fox haha.

I remember that...didn't remember who started it, but I remembered it. :lol

Sorry man, but us loyal fans earned the right to rub it in a little after all the bashing going on in here all these months. Imagine what this thread would look like if this movie bombed?

Now piss off and let me and Lar poke some fun haha

I geeked out when I saw Scott Famke looked stunning.
