I take it there was nothing of a familial connection between Peter and Erik?

Really liked this movie. Much better than spiderman and captain america for me. Magneto was a boss as usual and quicksilver was awesome. Funny how people thought he sucked based on a little outfit. Bring on the apocalypse!!

Yeah that's one of the plot holes with this theory. I'm pretty sure Singer just said **** it and threw him into a floating wheel chair just to make Patrick look cool floating around.

Also you gotta ask yourself, if that was cannon, why the heck in the Wolverine would it take that long for Wolverine and the X-Men to find out about Charle’s resurrection. The Wolverine takes place after X3, and the X-Men disband and the school is closed, it obvious Prof X never revealed to anyone he was alive, hence the after credit scene. I don’t think that X3 scene is canon. I prefer not knowing how he returned instead of some horrible explanation.

I'll just say "maybe." As I'm really not sure

(No, I'm not being coy. They just had so many things in there that I may have missed something.)

Okay, if you really want to know so badly that you'd read this before seeing it, Peter sees Erik's power and says "you can move metal; my mom knew a guy who could do that," and Fassbender has a quizzical look on his face.

Wolverine not knowing Prof X was alive does make sense though. He left, went back to being rouge and the whole Japan thing happened. He probably recruited some of the X-Men members before approaching Logan off screen. Then the after credit scene happens where Wolverine is shocked that Prof is alive and then Prof X says something about the line of how he told Wolverine before that he's not the only one with gifts. I'm pretty sure it's canon, it seems they just shrugged it off thinking fans will get the general idea that he came back with the use of his power.

The only plothole in this movie that really bugs me was not knowing at all how he got his adamantium claws back.

I just find it weird that the school is up and running when he returns, yet the school gets shut down, and the X-Men disband, why would that happen if Prof X returned before it shut down?

Also, I thought on the airplane, Fassbender saids something to Wolvie that kind of hints at that he could give Wolverine metal around his claws or something, which to me at least, implies that future Mag ended up doing just that.

Terrific film. I wonder how Brett Ratner feels today. His film has been disowned by fanboys for years and now Marvel makes it official. X3 is booted from cannon.

little nitpick: Harrier Jump jet is referred to by Trask. That aircraft was still going through prototype stages in the early 70's and was known at that time as the Hawker P[number]. The "Harrier" name was not used until the jet entered service in the late 80's.

Someone else had a inception vibe during the end of the movie ?

(during the scenes in the two timelines and the wake up of wolverine?!)

I mean, it made me think a little bit about it, in a good way! Not like a rip off or whatever! I was maybe in the same mood! :)

Yes!!

Even the music was reminiscent of it!
I loved it

Wolverine stuck his claws in the newspaper to keep Magneto from taking it away. I took that scene as Magneto saying Wolverine wouldn't be able to get away with things like that if his bones were metal.

Not really. When the two Harriers collided in England in 75, the press referred to them as Harriers, so people in the 70s knew them as Harriers, so I I'm sure government people did as well.

Alright time to head out, when next we meet, I can join the happy party of people who have seen this flick. :banana

I must say, that, while the Croce bit stole the show, one of my favorite Quicksilver exchanges was...

Erik:What are you doing?

Peter:bracingyournecksoyoudon'tgetwhiplash.

Erik:What?

Peter:WHIP. LASH.

That was a great scene! I also loved the part when QS shows up behind that guard in the elevator with duct tape in hand. Then when he and Erik gets back to the elevator, the guard is all covered up. The audience just cracked up at that point. :lol

As for Wolverine's adamantium claws, I figure the remaining metal in his body could just shift somehow to recoat his bone claws? :dunno
Chalk it up to comic book movie logic.
