anyone know what video file types the Xbox One will play. I can't seem to find that info anywhere online.

Probably be just as limited as the 360.

Though they won't be available on release date, you have to preorder. All of them are already sold out but sometimes they become available again from time to time.

Was talking to a guy on youtube and he had bad things to say about Ryse. Could have been a sony fan boy but he said it plays just as bad as it looks !

I thought it looked pretty dam good lol. I do get the feeling it will get boring quickly tho .

Yea I messaged him . He was playing it at the area one show. Just wanted to see how it played but didn't sound to great. Have high hopes for this.

Anyways, im still not sure what ill do yet. Usually, im all over a system launch, but im still feeling indifference. Its probably because of the gaming pc I bought earlier this year. If Infamous was a launch title, it would be a different story.

Thought that may have been the case. I wouldnt say I trust but like to hear what people have to say who have been fortunate enough to get to the games exhibitions ...

I actually think its shaping up well.

Muddy waters but there are a few decent peeps on there .
Yeah id probably be the same but I dont have a gaming rig so next gen should be pretty epic for me.
Although not mind blowing, its all about killer instinct and probably forza for exclusive launch titles.

That is a shame. Isnt it at 900p ?

It'll look better than last gen resolution, but it's sad we aren't getting games at full resolution yet. Maybe that will change, but considering how these new consoles are much easier to develop for than last-gen, I don't see as much room for improvement.

I hear ya. As next gen, we should really be getting 1080p at 60fps with no issues.

Hopefully this will change. Surely it must with 4k tvs just around the corner or does that mean they will just crank the resolution up with he frame rate taking a hit ?

Comparing the stats to last gen, they should be capable of at least rendering at 1080p and 8GB of memory would allow for 4K playback. But I don't think we'll see games at that resolution for a long time. Even with PC's there's very few people that have enough power to run games at 4k even if they have something that can display at that resolution.

Yeah, 4k is a ways off, im sure they could rock some Angry Birds at 4k or things of that nature, but real games will take a while. 1080p shouldn't be too much to ask at this stage though. And as you say, these things are just pcs in small boxes. There shouldn't be too many secrets and tricks to get performance out of them. I dont get it. Ill take 60fps over 1080p, but we should be able to have both.

Something that's weird though is that there's some really simple games on current-gen hardware that should be able to render at 1080p and they don't do it.

I really couldn't care less about Ryse seeing as it looks like an on the rails type of game. One announcement i am waiting for is Fallout 4, i hope its not too long into X1's life that its announced.

Also as crazy as this sounds im interested to see how Ghost's looks on X1 and also how online plays connection wise. That's one thing that's always plagued cod and turned me off it
