Meh, it doesn't bother me all that much that they ditched the Kinect. Besides, if some awesome game comes out down the line that actually utilizes the Kinect and then all of a sudden you have a ton of gamers going "man, I'm glad I have this thing" then I won't complain. Otherwise it can just sit on top of my TV.

I'm also glad I didn't buy a PS4 right off the bat considering how many people are having issues with their disc drive. I can wait for this one and once they solve it completely and more cool games come out, I'll grab it.

Less than a year and a MAJOR component of the system, that we ALL paid for mind you, has been reduced to an accessory that will have even LESS games designed for it than we have now.

Think of the graphics quality upgrade that could've been inside the box had the R&D budget not been spent on DRM/Kinext!

Had they done this from the start, this machine would've been a beast like the PS4.

If you own an X1, you should be really pissed off right about now.

I think they did have a vision, but got to scared to stick to their guns. The DRM stuff was to start distributing the games electronically, and the vision of making the xbox replace all your other living room gadgets was there.
Maybe they just tried to do it all too fast, guess we will see.

Yeah, sixth annual loss in 7 years and all of the execs are taking hefty salary cuts as well as giving up their bonuses is pretty brutal despite good sales of PS4 and cellphones. I'm hoping they pick back up. I'm sure that if things got really bad, the PS4 would survive and hopefully it would. The Xbox needs the competition. The Wii isn't exactly a competitor anymore and MS would go full Retard without the PS4.

By the way---an update went out yesterday, Xbox One now supports MKV playback and DLNA support.

The update for next month is pretty cool. You now have a showcase where you can show off your most valued achievements and gameclips. Also you can now customize your background. You can choose from a solid color, artwork from an achievement, or you can throw a wallpaper on a thumb drive and select it from there. I found a cool star wars one that I'm using right now. Only crappy thing is that the dashboard is so busy with all the tiles and whatnot that I can't really see very much of it. Still it's a nice option. I'd love it if they eventually gave us animated backgrounds.

OK so I just got an Xbox one, mainly for the new masterchief collection and also Halo 5 when it comes out. What I can't believe is that Microsoft have taken away their brilliant music player!! Sure, you can play CDs, but you cannot make playlists then have them playing in the background whilst playing games! I honestly cannot believe they have done this.

This is THE one thing that made me so fond of my 360. I would have an external HDD connected to the 360 with mad GBs of music, video, and photos. Playlist for some tiger golf, playlists for Halo, playlists for N4S. TOTALLY FUMING THIS FEATURE HAS BEEN TAKEN AWAY. You cannot rip CDs on to the HDD either which is disappointing. What a ******ery!

WOW that too!? I thought I couldnt see an option. Getting your tv to work through the console seems quite long if you do not have kinnect.
